I do miss it, wish I could of kept it...not as practical as the Tundra....plus the wife liked the truck better....

This is what I traded in on my Tundra (don’t worry; I washed it first). Wish I could’ve kept it, but I couldn’t convince my wife to drive it. She loves her Yukon XL too much.

Don't have any pics because I just dumped my phone's data onto a hard drive for more room. I definitely don't have pics of my early cars.

WARNING: Long post because I'm a vehicle junkie. Starting from the beginning and all are used unless otherwise mentioned:

1972 VW Beetle - fun car, no heat

1979 Z-28 - lost my license in that car. Four speed stick is dangerous to driving privileges.

1981 Honda CB 650 - perfect for finding parking in college. Air cooled and have the burn mark on my calf to prove it. Sold it later to pay down payment for the next car.

1985 CRX Si - perfect car for college. Carries loads of laundry and only two people so you're never the DD. 35 mpg no matter how much foot you have in it.

1990 S10 Blazer 4x4 - New. Loved it because it was comfortable and traveled well. First new car I'd ever owned (college grad) and I lived 6 hours from my family.

June 1991 to Aug 1992...Nothing for just over a year. Walked and rode a bike until I got my LE certification and got a job.

1992 Nissan Sentra - New but base, optioned with A/C. New job wasn't, how do you say it...high paying. Got it new because I had zero funds to buy a car with, including down payment.

1993 Toyota truck - extended cab, V6, 5 speed, lifted on 32's. Black. Was a demo at the dealer and I found it after I transferred to a larger dept with a $7k pay raise. Bad ass look with little to no oomph when you punched it. Fortunately, I met lots of gas station clerks to make sure my pump was on.

    * Here's where being young and single got me with vehicles. Pay attention young people...

1994 Z71 - Demo with a regular cab. Tired of bouncing down the road in the Yota. Wanted a heavier truck. Was nice but small with another passenger and luggage in bad weather. Being young and dumb doesn't leave you with much expendable income for a shell. So I added a:

1996 Suzuki Katana 600 or 650. Dumb. Fun, but dumb. Sold it after a year of barely making my payments.

1994 Ford Probe GT - traded the Z71. Missed fast cars. This thing was fast. Rode like a go kart but stuck like fly paper. Finally came to my senses and wanted to go off road again and hunt more. So I added a:

1983 Grand Wagoner- This had the room I was craving and it was paid off upon purchase. Awesome 4wd. Still had the Probe but didn't want the car payment and insurance on two vehicles. So, stupid me thought I'd trade it and the GW for...

1995 Toyota truck - Regular cab. Yep, did it for the payment and gas mileage, but mpg not really better. 4 cyl and 4wd plus much lower payment. I had a take home car so I didn't need it for much more than errands and hunting/fishing.

Tired of trying to cram equipment into a regular cab Toyota truck because, being dumb, I still couldn't afford a shell for bad weather. So I added a:

1988 Olds Cutlass Cierra - Comfy couch for a front seat, strong A/C, trunk for hiding my equipment, V6. Got it for $1k from a buddy. Horrible grey paint job that was like sand paper. Named it "armadillo".

Few years later traded both for a new 1997 Z71 THREE DOOR. Thats right. Three whole doors on a pickup truck and I had one. Also got $1500 on the Cutlass in trade. Win, win right?

Well during the 3 door truck ownership I met and married my wife. We bought our first house. AKA, my first big living situation payment. So I sold the truck. Found a sweet:

1986 Grand Wagoneer - Paid cash. Loved this truck too. They're just so comfortable and capable. Except for the rotted frame that broke in half a year later. Sold it to somebody that loved and worked on Jeeps. Then found:

1992 Suburban 4x4 - barn doors were awesome, leather, dual AC. Wonderful for when we had the first kid because we carried everything with us when we drove more than 45 minutes away and the Burb could carry everything.

1999 Audi A6 - Biggest, most expensive POS I've ever owned. Was the wife's car. Should've never sold the Civic she had when we met. It was paid off.

2007 CR-V - great car. Perfect for that time in our life. Kid no. 2 came. Replaced it with a:

2009 Honda Odyssey - thought I'd hate it. Loved it!

2011 CR-V - we figure out how to pare down our possessions on trips and the CR-V got much better gas mileage. Wife loved driving it.

    Lets continue with my cars:

2001 Dodge Ram 2wd - ext cab. Needed this because I had started a construction company and the Burb was getting torn up from carrying crap inside. Needed a truck bed and the price was right. Got rid of it after the second full tranny rebuild and half the dash had caved in. 2nd biggest POS I've owned.

2007 Wrangler Unlimited - Loved this vehicle. Had gone back to my old profession and wanted something fun.

Wife wanted a car and was tired of the size of SUV's so:

2014 Hyundai Sonata Ltd - she liked it and it was a very nice travel car. Probably the best we've owned. Turbo 4 cyl.

Daughter in 10th grade and it hit me. She starts college in 2 1/2 years! Son was 3 years behind her so it wasn't gonna let up anytime soon. Time to get rid of payments and pay crap off... Sold the Jeep to a buddy at work, paid off one credit card with it and bought:

2005 Honda Accord - paid off. Good gas mileage for work and back. Safe to teach daughter how to drive. I had a take home car soon after and I could get around if needed with that. I was on 3rd shift so if I needed one of our cars somebody was home by the time I was up.

2017 Sonata Sport - current wife car and our travel vehicle. Turbo 4 cyl and we get 32 mpg loaded up with 4 people and the dog and traveling for a week to the beach or mountains. Roomy and comfortable.

Take home car (full time) for the last 3 years and no vehicle to call my own. Can't use this one for much else than back and forth to work. Finally convinced the wife that she didn't want me to put a dead deer, turkey, or fish in her trunk. Plus I was tired of asking for a ride with my hunting buddies to hunt camp when THEIR schedule allowed. Passed up alot of opportunities because I didn't have anything to get me back into the woods.

2011 Tundra SR5 4x4 DC - Love this thing. Tons of power, room and comfortable. Nice having a truck again. Plan on keeping this one for quite a while.

I drove my 1988 Suburban and a 1972 Pontiac Ventura II. Both were fun, but I sold the Burb because it was a POS and I sold the Ventura because we just bought a house and I was too busy to do it justice

I've owned too many vehicles to bother listing but the ones I've spent a decent amount of time driving:

1982 Dodge W150 SCLB slant 6 manual, my first truck.
1990 Chevy Caprice 9C1 (police package) 350 AT.
1989 F150 5.8 AT ECLB bought it 50/50 with my GF (now wife).
    1978 Chevy K20 RCLB 350 AT
1973 Chevy Nova originally 250 inline, swapped in a mild 350, manual trans.
1981 GMC k3500 crew cab dually, 454 manual trans.
    1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 V6 AT.
    2003 Chevy Suburban 5.3.
    2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV 6.0.
2004 Cadillac Escalade 6.0 still have this one, my wife drives it mostly.
2004 Chevy Silverado RCLB base model fleet truck, originally a 4.8 but it's now a 6.0 with a 76mm single turbo running about 10-11 psi.

After the electrical system in my dad's 1984 S10 Blazer died, it was 20 years before he was willing to buy another vehicle with power locks and windows.

Learned to drive on my grandfather's 1985 Dodge 150 RCLB. I kind of wish my grandma hadn't sold it after he died but I would have been more likely to buy it from her if it was a short box.

It was a great first truck and that gutless slant 6 really got me started off with that "hotrodder" mindset. I found a 2 barrel intake manifold, got a carb from a 318, straight piped it and the truck finally made just enough power to barely maintain the speed limit up hills without needing to downshift lol!

Exactly right. The only difference between the Ventura and the Nova is the front clip and the tail lights, (which are longer than the Nova's tail lights). Quarter panels, doors, subframe and suspension are identical. It had a Pontiac 350/TH350 trans in it, but you can swap in a Chevy 350 no sweat.

I loved that rig, but I couldn't fix the egr system on that to save my life. The check engine light came on so much, it was more of a reading lamp than a warning

We used his to tow a tank full of water on a wagon, albeit only around the farm and mostly in 4Lo ("bull low"). But it did a better job than his K1500, which would just spin when you hitched it to the water trailer.

Before I purchased my T100, 2002 & 2007 Tundra trucks I drove an AWD 1996 Honda CR-V that I purchased new, that was a great little vehicle, but I needed a work truck two years later so away it went.

2014 FJ Cruiser. Great for what it was designed to do, extremely capable off road. Tundra is way more comfortable though.

Immediately preceding this 2020 Tundra I had the 2015 Chevy Silverado 4x4 crew cab pickup.

I purchased my mid life crisis vehicle in 2019....a used 2017 Chevy SS with only 17K miles on it at the time. Since the purchase there is a Rotofab CAI and a set of American Racing Headers on it and it has been dyno tuned. Good times! Still have this to go along with the Tundra.

    Before that.......
2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab
2003 Chevy Silverado Z71 extended cab
Prior to the Z71 had a lease on a Jeep Cherokee.
    A used Ford explorer.
A used Ford Ranger Splash manual with extended cab(loved that truck).
And prior to that a Chevy Z24.

I had a 2019 Tundy, but I HATED the all black look, as it wasn't very "girly". I love the 2020, as the color is pretty and I added some pink accents the day I took it home, to which my salesman said aww it looks like cotton candy (sigh), and it also has more features as it is a TRD OR and my black one was an SX.

So far, prior to that, I had a Dodge Neon, first car, Honda Civic, Honda CRV, Toyota Camry, Honda Ridgeline, Toyota Tundra, Honda CRV, Toyota Tacoma x 2, Toyota Highlander... No, I am not old, I just get bored easy :D

I had a Toyota Highlander before that, and I LOVED it, but it was not compatible with home ownership. If I had a hubs, he would have a truck and I would go back to the Highlander in a heartbeat. I got fed up with vacuuming the back, as I used it for my flowers/shrubs, dirt, bagged bark mulch, and the last straw was when I had to put (8) 7 foot railroad ties in the back to take them to the dump because they were attracting termites, that was super fun to clean up afterwards.

Favorite vehicle hands down was the 2000 4Runner. My previous vehicle (2013 F150) was not bad; it never had any serious issues. However, it had more than a few minor/moderate issues, and half of them had no resolution.

    Before the Tundra I had:
2002 Tacoma. I had it for 16 years. Best truck ever.

Before the Tacoma was a Ford Ranger

Lots of other cars, but these were the direct predecessors of the Tundra.
