I was looking to install a set of hella horns on my 2020 Tundra. I searched and found no info on anyone installing a set of hella horns on a 2020. Does anyone no if there is a harness specific for 2020 tundras or a kit to splice the wires to install them? Any help would do, thanks.

Don't have the horns but it should be pretty basic. Remove the factory horn that's in front of the radiator and splice like the image below. Grab some 14/16 gauge wire and the appropriate connectors from your local hardware store.

I actually went to install my Hella Super Tones last night, but found I was missing necessary connections. From what I have read if you utilize a wiring harness that has a relay in the system you can get a much louder horn as well as it being safer with a larger fuse in line. I ordered a $10 from Ebay last night that I think should work. Normally I would make something myself but for $10 shipped, I couldn't say no.

Which harness did you purchase. The 2020 Tundras have a plug for the horns did you just splice into that??

    This one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-Horn-W...rns-US/373087913665?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

This should just allow you to plug into that existing plug. This would then control the relay, then power would come from the battery.

Mine is coming on Saturday, so barring some time to work on it, I will let you know how it goes!

It's annoying that most need a relay

So the kit came in today! I'm in Rhode Island and it shipped from Cali so it comes quick.

The kit works but it took some troubleshooting. One downside is that the leads off of the relay that go to the horns are kind of short for the stock horn mounting locations. I had to mount a horn angled to get it to work.

So in terms of connections you hook the red wire up to the battery and the black ring connector to a ground location. Then you connect one black female spade and one blue female spade to each horn.

The remaining black wired gold spade goes to the stock harness horn plug. I taped this up to keep it from coming apart.

The last connection, the white wire with a gold spade needs to go back to ground. I had a wire tap that accepted spades so I used that on one of the negative wires going to the horn.

And presto you got a horn worthy of the size truck you bought!

    Any questions let me know!

Possible to post an audio clip? I have a set of train horns that I took off of my 2013 but they were a pain in the rear to maintain....doubt ill put them on the 2020.

Agree with earlier comment, do you have a sound clip? I'm interested in the difference in sound

I can try to put up one later today. No clip of stock but you should have that on your truck!

I had these on my 4Runner before I sold it and was happy with them. They aren't a deep sound but they are damn loud!

The factory horn is fused, & I believe relayed, so why is another set of fuse/relay needed to install these?
    Thanks.

You dont! I just figured it out. All I needed was the two new horns to be grounded and then just plugged in. I will up load pictures here in a little while.

@TundraTool13 Could you post up an audio clip? I am curious if they are as loud. I was under the impression that the new horns would draw more so having the large fuse in the relay kit, would allow them to operate as intended.
