I read a review of a highly recommended NAV screen and instrument cluster protector sheet on this site a couple of days ago. I can’t locate that review. I’ve tried the search box function, but no help.
    Anybody?
    thanks,
    chuck

Sweet, I'm going to order that for my 2021, will be here Sunday. I've been wiping the screen weekly, maybe this will prevent less dust and finger prints, for $12, why not!

It was one of the first things I bought. The fingerprints were driving me CRAZY. It's like having a tempered glass screen protector on your phone. You will still get fingerprints on it, but not as bad as without it.

I forgot to mention, make sure you don't have any lint on your fingers. That ish will get stuck under the protector and will annoy you. Ask me how I know. :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty:

FYI you can also apply these in two layers for added strength. Never know when the frisky wife might accidently elbow the screen or something.

Does this fix the glare and unreadable nature of the screen when the sun is shining?

This does NOT fix the glare while the sun is shining on the radio.

There’s also this that includes a film for the gauge cluster which is always susceptible to swirl marks and scratches. Kinda pricey though

edit: looks like I’m having trouble with links
    Google “screenprotech”

You are right about the swirl marks! Happened on my old Tacoma and was starting to happen on my 2017. Guess it's from all the wipe downs? Will definitely get this. Think I'll like the tempered glass for the HU, so all good with already ordering that.
The application to the dash cluster seems daunting, by far the biggest protector I would have applied to something and it needs to be perfect!

This looks WAAAAAAAAAAY more intensive than installing a stereo... :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

It would SUCK if you had to peel off the protector and try to realign it. I use a microfiber cloth to wipe down my cluster gauge area. I make sure I don't apply ANY pressure at all and just lightly wipe it down. So far, no swirl marks.

The angle the stereo is at sucks. Even when the sun isn't shining on it.

One of those "floating" after market stereo may address the glare, but I'm not going to spend money on that right now.

Right...there are two things that sucked when I bought my 2014...the headlights, which I have since upgraded to the 2018 LED Pro Versions and the head unit with its poor functionality and the unreadable-in-the-daytime screen. Most everything else has been great.

Don't get the "antiglare" matte screen covers though. You cannot see anything on the screen at all, when there is a glare.
