i know this is due to moisture in the crankcase. i use 0-20 full synthetic Mobil. so the question the only thing that was not done on the 2011 crewmax limited was the pcv valve. any suggestions if it could be the culprit. being the 3rd owner i took the truck on a complete fluid change.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but this can result from short drives where the truck really doesn't reach temp as well right?

Mostly from short drive. Go for a long drive and see that helps.

It doesn’t hurt to change the PCV Valve. They are so cheap and easy to replace. Some suggest replacing 30-50k miles. Lots of gasket damage can happen if your PCV is bad. Short trips in winter especially will give some moisture on the cap (prob your case). Wipe it off and keep and eye on it.

My 05 always does this in the colder half of the year when humidity is higher. Scared me first time I saw it but research led me to the moisture in air and short drives as culprit. Been 8 years, no long term issues from it as far as I can tell. Check after a long drive and it's gone. Then a week of short commutes and it would be back. So I quit checking and just ignore it now.
