Thanks Wes! But I think you got it backwards ... I'm behind you my friend! I think I'm nearly done though (lol ... how many times have I heard that) just trying to see if I want to spend the money on color matching the bumper end caps, maybe replacing my OEM mats with some Huskys, sports seasonal tow hitch covers (got to represent my teams) and a locking gas cap if I can find one. I was thinking about flares, but I am starting to think if I were to do that I should have gone with +1 offset wheels (which I didn't).

Yeah I dunno about that, ha. You've knocked out the big stuff (Retro's, Grill, Lift & Tires). I've done the first two, but the lift and tires are probably the biggest thing on these trucks. I wish I could do it now, but I'm probably months to a year out on it realistic without putting me in a hole, ha. Or the Dog House.. ha I also still need to do the tail lights, sway bar, exhaust, possible CAI.

I'll be in the dog house for about 6 more months. All I can say is....

You'll get there ... you shouldn't rush when deciding on your wheels. That's a large investment to make and you don't want to second guess your decision.

CAI ... see, another mod I forgot and might consider. I just might leave well enough alone and go just with a high flow filter.

I've read a lot of "It did" and "It didn't" do anything to help. So it's still a maybe until I hear different.

Exactly what I've heard ... that's why I'm thinking of just going with the high flow filter like a K&N filter. I might not get that cool sucking noise factor that I get with my Supercharged BMW but I'm okay with that.

    Monthly update bump ...

purchased some Bushwacker Pocket style fender flares ...

and received my first sample order of vinyl to wrap my bumper ends ...

I have ordered a second sample slightly darker and will compare the two before going forth with the wrap.

Edit ... I tried ordering 4 different shades of vinyl and none are quite a perfect match. I will now try and see what I can come up with via the powder coating process.

Aw c'mon Dave, we need action shots. You know, with the parts in place. Photos of the parts on the floor is like a burlesque show in hazmat suits.:D

Lol ... Hey, if I could have them on ... they'd be on. The seller lost the mounting hardware .

and never been to a burlesque show, but having a hazmat suit on might not be the worst idea. Unless it was the dancers wearing the suits, which I'm starting to believe is what you meant ... lol.

Who did your retrofit? I take it there's a plug and play harness for the platinum lights.

I sent my lamps to Leo @eledobleu. They are plug and play, but the lights are not Platinum lamps. I had Leo add the LED strips as well as my Panamera shrouds. There are several upgrades that can be done to your liking such as halos, cat eyes, switchbacks ...

Just received my replacement mounting hardware for my Bushwacker Pocket Style fender flares ... Now I need some inspiration to not only mount them, but to keep them and not sell them. @AriMiko43, Hey Ari can you post some more pics on our Silver Sky metallic thread. Your set up is probably closest to what mine might look like with the flares on.

was the only reason for spacers at that time to push the wheels and tires out more for the aggressive look that is achieved.

Yeah, that was my goal. I feel the prefect offset for our truck is between +20 to +1 depending on if your using flares.

How about a three way trade? Blue gives Dave flares. Dave gives Joon spyders. And Joon gives Blue spare tire. Deal or no deal?

thanks for the reply , I was under the impression that only (-) setbacks stood out proud of the wheel well calling for fender flares and 0 offset and all (+) numbers were more inclined to stay under the wheel well please fill me in on more about this whole offset and the right look as is relatively new to me , I was about to order wheels at a 0 offset , and also , thanks for your thread and helpful posts.

    * is our factory offset +60mm thought I read that on tirerack.

a 0 offset will stick out a good amount. I guess stick out depends on everyone. to me sticks out is anything that goes past the fenders.

Went ahead and test fitted the driverside this afternoon ... Pics below. Tell me what you think.

Yeah, the whole offset stuff can be alittle confusing at first but it gets easier to understand with some research. Keep in mind the width of the rim also comes into play too.

Most factory wheels are a +60 but not all of them. Best to take off a wheel and look around the backside for a number that shows its offset. You could also post a picture of your wheel and somebody can provide the info your looking for.

Pics of my test fitting ...

What do you guys think? Yea or nay ...

I think it looks good but to me, the wheels look too sunken in. I would go with the OE flares(+0.75") if I had your wheel setup. Part of the reason why I removed my flares, It made the truck look small with flares for some reason. I think because when wheels stick out, it makes it look more aggressive.

I actually was afraid it was going to be sunken in even worst. As it is, I'm leaning towards going with it and buying some 35x12.5" tires next time. I agree that when the tires stick out it looks more aggressive so looks like next go around a CMC is in my future.

You can always sell these and get OE fenders as an option..

I've been thinking of 35x12.5 too! I will most likely get those when these wear out but that might take 7 years at the rate I put miles on this thing hahaha... by then I won't be worried about doing the CMC! Just couldn't do the CMC on a brand new truck...

Lol ... Yeah, it might take quite a few years to wear these Toyo's down too. Thought about switching to the smaller flares, but think I'll pass for now. Think I'd rather focus on some other mods I've got in mind.

Thanks Joon! I'm nearly certain I'm going to keep them. Now, gotta swap out the mirror caps to match and figure out what to do with the bumper caps (no go with a vinyl match).
