I wasn't sure what to title this but seeing that each of the two items are informative iKamper Info it is.

First off, I've noticed iKamper never seems to have sales and the wait time is fairly long. I may have found a decent way to go about purchasing one. Forgive me if it's already been stated somewhere on the forum. I bought one from REI and utilized their ship to store and member dividend policy. So, free shipping to my nearest REI and then 10% back at the end of the year. Not only that, but they had some in stock at the time of purchase. I ordered it Sunday, it shipped to the store and is now ready for pickup on Tuesday. Pretty decent if you ask me.

Now my question is about mounting.
Added my solution in post #3

Does anyone know what size T-bolt will fit into the mounting channel of the iKamper itself? The adapters for my Leitner Rack won't arrive until who knows when and I'm looking to secure it just for the drive home (45mins). I believe the newer iKampers come with the second version of their clamp which won't fit the Leitner bars so I'm looking to attach it like the first version did (T-bolts in the iKamper channel that stretch below the load bar).

Maybe try getting your hands on the version 1 mounting kit from ikamper? I believe these should still work with the larger Leitner bars.

Decided I would update incase anyone else was in a pinch with a situation like mine or incase they break a mount while on the road.

ALWAYS USE WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SPECIFIES. THIS WAS ONLY TEMPORARY

Yes, those would definitely work. I made a mistake and didn't realize I needed to order them. My iKamper arrived 2 days after ordering and waiting for the right mounts would have caused an issue with picking it up unfortunately so I had to get creative.

Ultimately, I ordered the correct mounts from Leitner. In the time before they were delivered, I was able to rig up a mount using some basic parts available at pretty much any hardware store.

    Parts are as follows:
    4 - 4" Lengths of 7/8" Unistrut
8 - Shallow (About 1/4"-3/8" Thick) 3/8" Spring Nuts with the spring removed
    8 - 3/8" Fender Washers
    8 - 3/8" Lock Nuts
    8 - 3" Hex Head Bolts

Slide the spring nuts into the channels on the tent, sandwich the load bars with the strut, and fasten with the bolts. I added some tape around the center of the strut as to not scratch the finish on the load bars.
