Looks like Connected Services include Safety Connect, Usage Based Insurance and Wi-Fi Connect. I am not interested in Safety Connect, and Usage Based Insurance. I have a Hot Spot on my iPhone that I plug in to the USB port for Apple Car Play. I don't think I need the Toyota Wi-Fi, so see no reason to subscribe to Connected Services after the free trial ends. Am I correct?

Yep, I think you are good. You can always activate the hotspot for a month if you are going on a trip but it doesn't sound like you need it. I'm also thinking that you can do the same with Safety Connect.

I think you need to pay something for the remote start (I'll know when mine expires in Feb).
