    Box build
    13 1/2 inches deep
    27 1/4 inches wide
    5 inches deep
Cut out for the middle seat belt is 6 1/2 X 6 1/2
    Used 1/2 inch MDF
Gorilla Glue all joints! And use a lot. The glue should ooze out of ALL seams for a complete seal. Let it cure for 1-2 days before cranking the sub.
Box Volume is .58 Cubic FT
Sub must be under 4 1/2 in mounting depth.

NVX NSW 104V2 Sub is 4.20 inch mounting depth.

    Total cost $200

Not sure? But should work for 3rd gen also?

Powered by Boss R1100M mounted underneath the drivers seat, sub is a dual voice coil wired to 2 ohms.

Sound turned out nice! Great for Rock/Heavy Metal/Country.. The Bass is tight and very responsive. But still hits deep.

FYI.. Had a few issues with the sub touching the bottom of the seat! Added 2 washers to raise the seat and a heavy duty grille to prevent the seat from touching the sub..

Added this grille to keep the seat off the woofer.. look close towards the front you can see the outer ring of the woofer was rubbing on the seat. Is was enough that I noticed better performance after adding the grille.

What did you paint the box with? I’m planning to build one for under the single seat I think, which is where my sub is sitting now but the generic box it’s in is slightly too tall for the seat to go flat

Can’t remember the brand? Cheap flat black with texture, it wasn’t enough so I grabbed another can of just flat black.

The problem I had was seat sags a little more toward the front/middle. You might need a grille so the sub can move freely? Maybe a shallower box? Or raise the rear seat?

I currently have the box setup as down-firing to the floor and the box itself has a lip that keeps it about 1/4” off the floor, the box is just too tall, so I need to shorten it’s height and expand width a bit. I also need to make a solid mount for the amp that is sitting under the back seat too.

DC sub is kinda a puzzle? I thought about moving my jack and tool to the other side and filling the smaller side with the sub/amp? That way you can have the larger side for storage..

I see your now from Idaho! Move went well?

I moved my jack and fit my 10” on the small side but I like this idea of using half of the big side. Probably sounds a little better

I have that sub in place with the jack and tools in place, small box packed with stuffing so it does the job. It’s a little 8 inch Kicker and works good.

The move went good, beat the weather by a week! We got out and done with the move before the temp plummeted from 40 to -35! Tell ya the truth I missed it a little bit, but the Treasure Valley got a dump of 12” of snow that they usually are not used to getting, felt right at home, slaloming around all the drivers doing 10mph. Move!!! Montanan here used to driving in snow hahahahahahaha

Loving the area and new job is going good. House is closing on the 12th of March, can’t wait!

Nice! That is exactly where I wanted to place my sub, on small side. I have storage under large side. It didn't occur to me that I could pull my old kicker 8" sub out and build a new box to go under the seat. Then stick the amp under the passenger seat. My truck came with an Alpine single stack stereo which doesn't connect to my phone automatically and the steering wheel controls don't work. I'm hoping it's as simple as getting a new streo with back up cam and reconnect the steering controls. I'm dumb so, Whats the diff in flipping the speaker up or down?

No noticeable difference up or down. You just have to make sure the subwoofer has enough room to move back and forth to make sound.

No real huge difference. I have it down firing to help protect it from above, and to my ear it sounds to have a little bit more “punch” facing the floor that up, but to each it’s personal preference. I can’t remember if I have it setup on reverse polarity or not, again a “play music and see which sounds cleaner and louder and go with that setting” preference.

Updated the sub..the nvx was decent but not enough! Installed an audiomobile GTS 10inch not cheap $300! but well worth it!! FYI Mounting depth is 4.5in..Bought it from a new local audio shop that does impressive work.. he’s almost got me convinced to bump the box size to 1.0 cubic feet to add another 10 and ditch the cheap boss amp for something bigger and better$$

Same box just dropped in the new sub.FYI The nvx required.75 cubic feet. The GTS required.50 cubic feet. The only complaint I have with the GTS is when the temperature gets below 0 it needs to warm up. Not a big deal but probably not a good idea to crank it up before it warms up?

Does he have specs on his page?

It's so shallow under that seat and it tapers back too, all I've found premade that works is a ported Skar 6.5

Edit to add, I feed that little shit 500W at 2 ohms from a Kenwood mono amp and it handles it in stride. Little 6.5 in that ported box rattles the rearview.

That Boss amp is dragging you down. You’ll never be happy with that sub until you put a decent amp on it. Boss=trash. They overrate those amps, essentially false advertisement, and they sound horrible. Don’t even have to spend big coin, just buy an amp from a more reputable company. Snatch up a monoblock from Scamazon for under $200

Agreed, but I'd go to James at tech12volts. He'll fix you up really reasonable.
