What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Is that the rough country one? How do you like it?

 

Switched out of a Tacoma and into a tundra. I added a lot to the Tacoma and now I’m starting back at the beginning. First thing is to get rid of that horrible chrome on the front end.

 

It is the Road Armor Stealth. Normally $1500 and I got is for $800 and it was already Line-X'ed.

 

Finished moving my 2m/70cm ham antenna to the Rago mount I installed a week or so ago. When I installed the mount I only used 3 of the holes since I couldn’t get a rivnut into the 4th as my tool wouldn’t clear. Ended up using the 4th hole for the antenna wire.

I also did this and can say it is very much worth it! Very clean with the floor mats and storage together.

 

ok, done. Took a couple days to find the inverter I used in old work van when I had to use old school windows laptop. I wired in to one of the rocker switches. I also figured out a unforeseen problem last week, with the hot wire from battery the usb charger had lights that would have been a battery drain. I wired a HD toggle switch as master power kill switch.

 

There goes another $9

Washed the chassis as best I could, hate salty roads! Monthly recharge of the X2 and check of things under the hood. All good for another month or so

I have that same battery. Is that recharge necessary on these? I put that one in thinking it would be better for the Spod and winch I'm about to install.

 

if you don't mind, how much did you pay for the hood graphic? Did you install yourself? I'm looking to do the same on my truck.

 

How close is the mount to your tailgate when it's shut? I've thought about getting these to use as a grab handle when getting in the bed, but I've seen some where it rubs the paint off of people's tailgate.

 

400 for door handles and hood i believe hood was 150.00

Installed stubby antenna...

And started interior chrome delete. Painted cup holder surround, the silver piece around the shifter, and climate control rings with SEM Trim paint. Added the AJT piece for the shifter trim ring and installed a black OEM shifter thanks to @biebs96! Just ordered the black steering wheel emblem from AJT and the 4x4 trim ring from Meso, so hopefully getting those this week. Last will be the vent trim rings.

Had my 2017 CM Platinum for a week and a half... the Tonneau that came on it leaked. Did some research, found an install video and whoever installed it, did so improperly. Couple tweaks and now it's bone dry in the bed!

I'm curious about y'all's feedback on bed compartments or extenders?!?

 

Trying to order driver’s side grab handle. Does this look like the two parts I would need? The diagrams on these dealer sites are killing me.

 

Spent the afternoon in the woods taking down deer stands. My FIL made a video of me climbing one of the hills.

 

I think you have them wrong. These are part numbers and colors. Also try parts.lewistoyota.com and use code “freeship” I just order a few things from them.

 

There's a tiny bit of room between the tailgate and mount ... the antenna wire is in there pretty snug but looks like it barely is touching the tailgate. That's why I wrapped it with spiral loom and put head shrink over it just in case. I think on their website they say you need 1/8" or so gap for it to work and that you may not have it on both sides so take a look at that before deciding which side mount to order.

 

Does anyone have a link or p/n for the yellow clips that hold in most of the dash trim pieces? I lost one in the abyss while installing the anytime backup camera kit today.
