Let’s see...I need to wear reader glasses everywhere I go now.

I spend 20 minutes in front of the mirror now to get my hair right to hide the fact it’s only thinning on one side of my head. Why isn’t hair loss/thinning symmetrical!

I’ve become too accustomed to wearing jorts with leather sandals.

I pay cash for most things because if I use a debit or credit card, I typically cannot remember what the charge was for when the statement shows up 2 months later.

I now go through the motions of checking my door was locked twice before I leave home since I’m unsure if I locked it two minutes ago.

What’s the topic of this thread, btw?

My dad told me all the men in our family are missing the hair on their lower legs due to all the waterskiing we do.

I play music for a living, hike and camp frequently with my family, and wrestle my kids every night. I’ve stayed pretty active, drinking one cup of black coffee every morning and a beer in the evening more nights than not. My lifestyle has been that of an outdoorsy 25 year old for the last 15 years.

But the fact that I am sore every day after hiking 5+ miles or wrenching on my truck reminds me that I’m 40. I get ITBS in my left knee when I hike too far. Sometimes I sleep wrong, and my neck hurts for a day or two. Threw my back out a few times in the last two years. Figured out that if I do two simple exercises on the floor every morning, I can keep it from happening again. Coffee started giving me heartburn issues, so I switched to black tea last week. Sugar started giving me headaches a couple years ago, so I have one dietary rule: I avoid everything with processed or added sugar or corn syrup. Yes, that is as difficult as it sounds.

I bought some ruck plates to throw in my pack, and I intend to start training regularly. I should not be this sore after strenuous physical activity. I used to just do whatever I wanted and never hurt or paid any kind of price the next day. The older I get, the more I’m realizing I have to be intentional with my health in order to keep doing the things I love with the frequency at which I do them.

My wife bought me some goofy fur lined slippers from Lands End for Christmas, told her i wasn't really a slipper kind of guy. Have them on right now while sipping an adult beverage.... I have to admit, very warm and comfy. :spy:

 Stopped plucking grey hairs out of my eyebrows 15 years ago. I have one Covid hair growing out of my right ear that is an inch long. I like wearing floppies with white socks.

That's a good excuse. I tell myself it's from wearing downhill ski boots. Unfortunately, I know it's a lie because my father has the same lower leg baldness and he never skied a day in his life.

Keep doing what you are doing. I'm 52 and have a more physical and active work and personal life than most and I still have all of the aches and pains on a daily basis. This is what it feels like to be living. The aches and pains don't prevent me from doing anything, they just offer me a physical reminder to go along with the mental memory of what kind of fun I had the day before.
One thing I have discovered over the years is that hydration seems to minimize some of the aches and pains so I make sure I am well hydrated and stay hydrated throughout any extended physical activity. And with no real proof, Osteo Bi Flex seems to offer some relief.

I'd probably have to go back to the beginning since I'd probably forget what it was all about by the end.

I’m afraid of pulling a muscle every time I feel a sneeze coming.

I don’t what the hell I do while sleeping, but it must be violent bc I’m achy and creaky every morning. Today I woke up with a sore left hip, just because.
