In search of advice in order to make a final decision. Not sure if it's worth building, parting out or selling as a whole since it does have a clean title, ins wasn't involved.
    Frame seems to be straight.

I also have a 1st gen 4runner with the 3.slow that is acting up. Not sure how difficult a 3.0 to the tundy 4.7 swap would be. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Looks like a disaster man... If the motor is still good, see if you can do the swap. I'm sure there is someone that needs a transmission. Maybe just get the big stuff. If you even have the time or energy for it.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
Motor swap (don't know the matchup there) yotatech.com will be a good resource.

Part out what is good (like tranny, bed doors, wheels, tail lights, etc) and scrap the rest will give you the most additional funds.

Can I ask about the details of the wreck? Everyone ok?

There have been several V-8 swaps into fist gen runners. If you go with the 4.7 you might try engine & tranny to keep the computer stuff happy. Check with Marlin Crawler as I know they have done a crawl box for a Tundra so would be able to tell you what adapters and such would work. As for the Truck itself....unless you are gonna build a chopped up buggy or such, it looks like a waste of time except for a parts vehicle....or else find a straight Tundra cheap with a toasted engine or such and swap your stuff in.
