Installed RSI Smartcap. Well built steel truck cap, we’ll see how it holds up.

    Not sure at this point.
Most definitely! I’m also in the process of getting the undercarriage sprayed with Fluid Film.

First winter on the East Coast; didn’t think they would be using this much salt the past month.

Friendly FYI. Be careful when you are tightening them down. The tabs aren’t as robust as stock and they snap/crack. Self correcting mistake.

This. A buddy had his new ram pickup (5yrs ago) start into this kind of weird electrical stuff. Dash lights, wipers, turn signals, radio. Then it would vanish and everything be perfect for a month. Difficult to diagnose "cause the dealership couldn't reproduce it. Eventually the dealership bought it back from him.

I have the TRD BBK and they are an excellent upgrade for the towing. I towed my mini excavator (7500# machine and 1500# tip trailer ~ 9000# total) with and without the BBK and it is noticeably better with more powerful brakes. It is less pedal effort to get the same result of braking with normal driving, but when towing and you push hard on the brakes, the BBK doesn't get overwhelmed, it puts down the hammer, and stops the truck with confidence and control. Before (no BBK) I felt like the trailer would push the truck past my anticipated stopping distance, where as the BBK allows a much more predictable distance with much better control.

I have aftermarket wheels and even though they are 20" I still needed a 3/16" spacer to clear the calipers. Not a big deal but definitely something to consider. It is best to pick up a 20" spare too. If not, you'll have to move a rear wheel up and put the spare on the rear to make it home. Also, consideration of balancing the tires needs to be thought out because balancing weights placed towards the outside of the inner wheel can interfere with the calipers too. I have oem Platinum wheels that clear with no problem, it's just aftermarket wheels that have some offset/clearance issues.
The pros far outweigh any small issues I had getting aftermarket wheels to fit, and I would strongly recommend. I was fortunate to get my TRD BBK when Toyota did their 40%off TRD products in 2019 for about $1600. I think 17' was the last year TRDs were available for, but Stoptech built the TRDs for Toyota, so I would definitely look at those for your 2020

No complaint with pads so far... only 20K on the kit and they are still like new, but they will wear faster the more towing you do.

Yup! Waterbury location. Was glad when I found out there was a Line-X shop right by Terryville/Bristol.
