Hey all. So after 14 yrs and 316,000 miles on my 2001 tundra 4x4 3.4l manual (I put on about 200,000 of it),I will be picking up a 2017 tundra trd off road tommorow! magnetic grey metalic. 45,000 miles. I plan on doing suspension first and then tires. Its 2 times the hp of my old 3.4liter. I love that truck allot but its time now as the ORIGINAL clutch is now slipping after 316,000 miles , and the steering rack is leaking also. My friend is buying it from me and he is going to keep it going. Ill start a thread on my build. there have been a bunch of things ive wanted to do to y truck but felt it wasnt worth it with the miles it had. I cant wait to pick it up tomorrow. pics to follow on arrival.

parts are arriving. My truck came with a spacer lift on the stock bilstein shocks. I am getting rid of that and adding the bilstein 6112's in the front. the rear has lift blocks. I am putting the bilstein 5160's in the rear, they are here now. but the fronts are on back order. I have some husky floor liners on order and a alum. rci skid plate also. my truck came without a skidplate so i got this one. It has better coverage than stock.

I sure miss that fj. especially since they are so expensive now! At the time i had a 71 vw bus and the 72 fj and a 95 T100. i moved to an apartment and i had to junk the bus because of rust ,sold the fj40 and kept the T100. Now i have a 1968 westfalia that i restored and my 2017 tundra . I look all the time for a fj to restore , just haven't found one yet thats in the right condition and price. one day.....
