I’m looking for an app that will mirror my iPhone on my Samsung smart TV, without paying a subscription. I don’t mind paying once for the app. Anyone have any experience that they can share? Thanks

I don't know about a Samsung but I can't natively mirror my Iphone to my Roku TCL TV. Samsung may be able to do it depending on how new the TV is. That stuff is always changing. But I can do it using an old Apple TV box or using the HDMI adapter that plugs into the lightning port on the iPhone. The HDMI adapter is easy but you need to futz with the cable. The HDMI adapter you can carry anywhere and works on any TV with an HDMI port.

You can buy an older Apple TV pretty cheap.

Thanks everyone. My Samsung is a 2020 model with many smart features. I’m trying to mirror or cast Peacock TV from my iPad or iPhone because Samsung does not support the Peacock app. I’ll try the lightning cable to hdmi cord as suggested.

I think the issue is that peacock tv won’t allow it.

to mirror my iPad to my travel trailer TV. Let’s us download movies on Netflix or Prime and mirror. Works great

some native apps do not authorize mirroring or casting unless specific TV box been used with said app.

Thanks for all the feedback. I can report that the screen mirror function on iPhone/iPad does not work for peacock tv. I’ll try a lightning to hdmi cable next.

I realized I posted the wrong pic earlier, that was for my Samsung. For iPhone/iPad this adaptor to hdmi should be what you need.

My solution was to download the Peacock app to my son's PS4. This works. Airplay does not, screen mirroring does not. It's a licensing issue so Peacock has code that prevents casting or mirroring to unapproved devices.
