"Fuel injection and throttle body service" by dealership means what exactly?

    The Tundy is in for a packaged oil change and the stealership is recommending a fuel injection and throttle body service for about $160.

    I'm pretty sure that I could donate some fluids and a few scraped knuckles to knock this out myself, or even determine if it needs it. Any advice out there?

    The fuel injector cleaning is normally done by disconnecting the fuel and running the vehicle on a bottle. The bottle generally costs around $75-100.
    Thats if they are doing it that way. If not; it may not be worth it. For the Throttle body, they will take it off and clean it ultrasonically or another way. Not sure. Ask them how they are performing the procedure. But the price is about right for that service
