I hear you! Mine won't have a clue. If she does I'll just say 'you never noticed that before?'

You won't notice anything substantial with the sway bar. There is slight improvement with body roll BUT DEFINITELY not a $200+ difference.

I have to disagree. Entrances to the highway, back road driving, all of it. This truck has way too much body roll without it. I also put a 500 pound plow assembly on the front of mine, and this sway bar is the best thing that's ever happened to this truck.

Okay. You're probably right after 25 years of driving trucks and race cars. It's probably in my head. Thanks for the help.

I was actually trying to tell people why it makes sense to have the sway bar rather than starting a BS session as a keyboard toughguy. When you make your first "point" telling people that the two pages of posts are false, you want to try to start something like this. Name calling and acting like a punk behind a keyboard doesn't get me all hot and bothered like it must get you. Maybe you can pull people into your keyboard wars on Facebook that way, but I'm not going to bite. Just state facts. And yes, I'm sure I am a badass comparatively. At least you finally got something right!

Yeah, I just don't understand some people. Well, I don't have a sway bar, but only because I'm on dirt. But by how many people I've heard say how awesome the sway bar is and how much of a difference it makes, I'd have to say it's probably not just in your head. And because someone doesn't think it makes a difference for them, saying it doesn't make a difference to someone else or isn't worth the money to someone else is kind of ridiculous. Especially to someone who races cars.

I don't really know how the ignore feature works but I'm trying it out. That Nor7 fiasco is pretty rad though. You just kind of wonder why something that explodes like that and is obviously pinpointed back to well, him, keeps going. Lol.

It's just some people's personalities. They can't help being a dick. They get a kick out of pushing people's buttons. Makes them feel bigger. Those kinds of people live long lonely lives. Luckily there aren't too many of those on this forum, but there's always going to be a few. Just try to ignore them. :cookiemonster:

Especially about differences in opinions about true sway bar performance. Get over it. Not only do you get butthurt but the hurt spreads to other sheep on the board. It's absolutely hilarious! :D

It was a difference in opinion until you said it was in his head. At that point, you're implying you know better than him and what you're saying is a fact and his opinion is wrong. That's funny.

    Sometimes they just 'know'

I told the wife back in January I was going to test drive a car and showed up in a Tundra. No questions, she just laughed and said lets go for a ride!

I had to take the ignore off...

But that's funny right there. Hey SoCal, listen. No hard feelings bud. Just realize that there are other educated opinions out there that you don't have to slam. Your driving conditions (if you're in SoCal) are much different than mine in Maine. I'm in Palm Springs twice a year. I get it. Up here with the abuse the frost puts the roads through, as well as putting a plow on the front and 500-750 pounds of rear ballast on the truck, the sway bar is necessary for me. Trailering it is a big help. I'm all done with the pissing contest. I have a good idea of what I like to feel when I'm driving, it's probably totally different than what you like.

As Joon said, you win. Congratulations.

Yeah. That's exactly it. I bet your goats talk back like the people I arrested did to me too. I couldn't be less offendable.

It's just one of those things, I guess. Thanks again for turning a decent, informational post into a pissing contest.

Plenty planned thanks to all of you.
@Crewmax Chris it's still informational and I'm really glad you shared your thoughts. I just got my 14 a few weeks ago and realized how substantial of a difference it was to my Tacoma and two 4Runners cornering and onramps. I thought I was just imagining the sway, but I'm glad that others chimed in - not all others sadly - that it's not just my newness / imagination. I think the sway bar will be one of my next mods, especially since we're planning on picking up a travel trailer in the near future.

I finally bit the bullet. Took my wife's 4Runner in for 15k service. Needed an oil filter for the Tundra. Started asking the parts guy about the sway bar and got him to drop the price to $225+tax. Should be here next week and I'll post my thoughts once I get it installed.

TRD or Hellwig. Either is good. If you want just as dramatic of a difference for the front, order the Sequoia front sway bar as it has much thicker wall stock. It makes a big improvement to the front to complement the rear add.
