Recently installed the Maestro rr on my 2015 tundra. I have it hooked up the the OBD connector. I have the gauge screen and the screen where the tire pressures show but it just says N/A for the tire pressures. Is this something I should have? I’ve looked all through the menu on the head unit and I don’t see anything else to turn on in the menus. Just curious if anyone had run into this too. It is a 2015 crewmax limited. Thanks

What H/U do you have the Maestro connected to? Are you running the latest firmware on your Maestro (ie, did you download the correct update for your vehicle and H/U and flash it before installing)?

JVC KW-V960BW, yes I went through the set up and flashed it. I’m assuming when it’s flashed it would get the latest firmware update for my vehicle.

I read some where, cant remember exactly, something about reinitializing the tpms setting inside the kenwood radio. Kind of like refreshing the data. Then it would show again. I tried to search for the thread but cant remember. See if you can play with the menu and find a way to refresh or initiate the tpms sensor setting.

I have a Maestro RR connected to my Kenwood H/U, which has a "master reset" for the Maestro. I know that the Pioneer H/U's also have the same option. When activated, the Maestro will reset and the TPMS data should display. That being said, I have ZERO experience with JVC products. All else fails, contact iDatalink. They are pretty good about responding to tech support issues via telephone.

I have a 2015 also and just installed a kenwood unit a few weeks ago. Can’t get any reading for tpms either. I’ve tried resetting the maestro through the head unit with no luck. I’m installing an amp and plan to reflash and see if that will work.

I'll have to look at mine, but make sure the OBD is enabled. Do the performance gauges work? Also, if you are using the data cable, you do not need the OBD port connector.

I'm on my third aftermarket HU also using the Maestro in my 2014 SR5.
    2 Kenwoods and 1 Pioneer.
I've never had a problem with TPMS coming up or acquiring engine data from any of them..

I had this issue but with an ilx309 alpine. I ended up calling idatalink. They had me cut a resistor out of the t02 harness and reset from the settings screen. I highly recommend troubleshooting with idatalink on the phone especially if you have a remote start. My thread is below.

I get all of the engine data. Fuel and tpms won’t read however.

That is odd. My undertanding is the fuel data is sent over canbus with all the other guages and the tpms data should be the only info sent over the obd connector.

I also have a remote starter installed if that makes any difference.

1st Are you 100% sure you have the OBD single wire harness connected properly to the obd port and the T02 harness? i have a fortin evo remote start installed as well. I would start by resting the maestro unit through the head unit. Then I would drive around to see if it wakes up the TPMS. If either of these does not get the reading you need to probably call idatalink to troubleshoot.

Yes and I did all that. Reset everything I could through the head unit. I’m in the process of installing amps so I have to pull the head unit out anyway and I plan on reflashing to see if it corrects.

As I said earlier, unplug the OBD connector if you are using the data cable. Its in the instructions. The TPMS goes through the data cable.

I know this is an old thread but I thought I would post how to resolve this issue. I just installed an Alpine Halo9 with Maestro rr in my 2017 tundra and everything worked except tire pressure read out. Lots of searching on the web and really found nothing. replaced harness from the halo and meastro, new OBD plug resets and flashes of the unit and still nothing. I had to bring the truck in for oil and fluid change so I had the dealership check that the TPMS sensors were working and they gave me a print out from their diagnostic machine with tire pressure reading. Called crutchfield, who I bought the unit from, and they had no ideas.

After all that I called maestro support and they listened to my story and quickly said yes we know of this issue, there was an old harness that had a resistor between the main red power wire on the maestro and the obd wire that would make the maestro read TPMS, they found that in some applications this would cause no sensor read outs so they removed it. Support said to put in a 2000k resistor and it would solve my issue. Since their are no more radio shacks in my area I order a 100 pack from Amazon for $5, soldered it inline and put everything in the truck. I did a master reset and turned the truck on and to my very happy surprised the tire pressure popped up.

So there is the answer, $5 resistor and about 30 min or work to make the read out of tire pressure work. Hope this help anyone else who is facing this issue and looking for resolution.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

My tire pressure shows on my Pioneer through the Maestro. My problem is that it will not show pressures on the dash display.

My 2017 never had that option. Only the indicator light.

I soldered in the resistor several weeks ago. The tire pressures showed up on my Kenwood for a few days, then went away again and have not come back. I pulled the head unit out this weekend to look at another issue and all connections were still solid. Anyone found another smoking gun…maybe a setting somewhere that is disabled? Thx!

you can try reseting the Maestro unit, on my Alpine, in the sub menu there are two reset options, master reset and PID reset. I do both and it usually solves the issues. Had to do this twice and haven't had an issue since.

How do I drill down to PID reset (what’s it under)? I’ve seen the Maestro Master reset but not PID reset. Thx!

Just went out to the truck and took a look.

on the Alpine: Settings->System-> Maestro Module -> Maestro Settings -> Gauges -> Validate PIDs

    hope that helps.

NICE, I know when I was dealing with it I would get pretty frustrated when it would stop working and then thinking I would need to pull the head unit again to resolve.

    Glad I could help.

...and they stopped working again. I've done the Master Reset and the PID reset and they aren't coming back. So frustrating...

Is your OBD connection loose by chance or possibly the + or - connection to the unit?

I called maestro support when I had the issue. That’s how I found the resistor info. Might try that also. They are pretty good

OBD2 isn’t loose. I contacted Maestro a couple months ago and they had me solder in the 2k resistor. Their tech guys haven’t come up with a reason why it’s coming and going in my truck.
