    Hey all,

First time ever owning a truck, been an Audi enthusiast for the past 13 years, heavily involved in DIY's on the forums, hosting Audi meets, etc. Bought a brand new 2021 SX Tundra 6.7" bed, in October 2020 after countless months of research on finding the right truck platform to make my own version of a Recreational Vehicle / Sprinter Van in truck form. This will not be a daily driver. Since then, i've been glued to these forums and researching Tundra builds on Instagram and in a very short time, have piled parts with no signs of stopping. Build will be based around outfitting for mountain bike and other outdoor hobby trips.

Just hit 500 miles on the truck and this is the current state...

    Exterior:
Llumar 15% tint on all side windows, 5% strip on windshield
Full XPEL front end wrap to top of the roof & leading edge around bed to prep for bedcap at DetailersDomain
    WeatherTech Window Visors
LasFIT LED Foglight Yellow/White bulbs (great for those who love both bright yellow or white foglights)
    LasFIT LED Reverse Bulbs
ARE CX HD Bedcap (500lbs. aluminum internal skeleton, most weight capacity bedcap on market)
--Custom Yakima 48" track and Yakima Landing Pad 1 / Yakima Skyline footpack
--DropRacks System installed on bedcap track - First in USA
CURT Hitch cover on both sides of hitch to keep debris out
    CVT MT. Hood 56' RTT
    OEM Rear TRD Sway Bar
4x Innovations Accessory Bed Mount (jack arm / shovel mount)
    Total Chaos Fabrications Bed Stiffeners
    RubiconEP Corral 5 Bike Rack
    Thule Hideaway 8.5 Automatic Awning
WaterPort Tank mounted on CVT Tent with Universal Bracket

    Interior:
    OEM A-Pillar Grab Handle install
RadarMounts Escort Detector Rearview mirror mount
RadarMounts 12" Mirror Tap for radar
    Salex Center Console Organizer
    WeatherTech Complete Floor mat kit
    OEM Toyota BedRail System installed
    BedRug XLT in bed
ProClip USA Iphone Mount on Dash
    Tacoma Bed Cleats
Spare Tire Cover (relocated spare to bed)
WaterPort mounted on factory bed rail system

    Future:
Baja Designs Squadron Sport lights w/ Rago or Cali ditch brackets
Figure out custom table mount on inside of bedcap and how to hang clothes / light accessories from bedrail system

Day it came home from the dealer, 1 of the only photos that will actually look like a normal pick-up. :)

As it sits now at 500 miles on the odometer and testing some of the toys on the DropRack system. The DropRack system has a million uses. Bikes, kayaks, your kids, ski racks, lumber, ladders; whatever you want to carry that is less than 165lbs.
I'll be posting more information / video on how this works and happy to answer any questions. Will probably be selling soon as it won't work with the rooftoptent.

Thanks @TundraLaw have not even got to that point yet. So many items needed to be purchased first. The vehicle won't be seeing any major off-road nor do I need it any taller really than factory as reaching the roof/awning is tall enough.

Any ideas on simple ways to beef up the rear just to handle the extra 500lbs. payload? Just do heavy leaf springs?

that would be the ideal situation, but with new leaf springs, you're going to need to change out the shocks and shackles. While you're at it, you're going to need to change out the front coilovers too haha!

Made a quick video showcasing my bike rack setup. Slightly unique but allows up to 6 bikes to be hauled, loaded up extremely fast and able to access the truck without racks in the way.

See original post in thread for video.

Who installed your windshield tint and xpel wrap? I was considering having these done. I'm on the fence about the windshield since PA hates tint. Have you had any problems?

    Few minor updates:

    Tacoma Bed Cleats
Removed spare tire from under vehicle to prevent corrosion and hassle of removing if ever needed in emergency.
    TRD Rear Sway bar install.

Do you live up north where corrosion is a big issue with you’re spare placement? I love that my 285/75/r18 full size spare can fit under the truck bed.
The underside of your truck is so new! Nice.

Hey all, life got in the way. Some more updates. Owned the truck for 13 months now. Just hit 5000 fun miles for bike trips. Crazy to think its only been used maybe 30 days in a year and already at 5k!

Got the CVT Mt. Hood 56" tent installed with 100W solar on top.
RUBICONEP Corral 5 Bike Rack in custom white/purple to match the truck
WaterPort Tank mounted inside on bed rail for traveling and then mounted up on tent when stationary.
Running a Thule Hideaway 8.5 Awning, deploys and rolls up using a drill rather than manually, worth every penny!

I like your rack setup, I run a northshore 4 bike and am very happy with that style, transitions perfectly to our Subaru as well.

Custom table installed on factory bed rails using CaliRaised Pod Brackets and an old cutting board. Perfect for laptop work and making sandwiches. $45 vs. $200 "overland" tables, :)

Next up, figure out how to wire, fridge size for food. Send recommendations on this for installing in Tundra. Either rear seat location or bedcap.

Planning long road trips for 2022.

Thanks guys. Truck is pretty much done and parked for the winter. Really planning on prepping with just a few more necessities to do a long trip around the USA during 2022. That is the whole reason I bought this truck... my version of a Class B RV.

    Future realistic plans:
Weboost 4GX OTR (mixed reviews but seems like would be good to have for extending cell service in spotty areas... understand it won't GIVE cell service.)
Verizon Mifi8800 Hotspot with Netgear 6000450 MIMO Antenna with 2 TS-9 Connectors
Garmin RV780 for backup mapping if offline and Google Maps on phone doesn't work
    Uniden R7 radar detector
    Hondo Garage Tundra Tablet Mount
Setpower RV45 Fridge (reviews seem decent and within budget)

Just received the Setpower 45L fridge Going to mock up a platform for the rear seat area and purchase some Front Runner Quick Release Latching Straps.
