Scooped up a new Aluma 12’ trailer today for a future compact garden tractor. Looking at the JD 1025R. This trailer has a 3000# axle weight which will be ample for tractor. Trailer only weighs 700#.

This is my third Aluma trailer...they are pretty awesome trailers. Just can’t see hauling a 20k tractor around on anything else.

We have dececided to scoop up (pun intended) a John Deere 1025R Yanmar 25 hp diesel with Front end loader, 3pt hitch, PTO, 54” mower deck with bagger. (maybe a tiller)
This will be a big help with blueberry farming, moving top soil, mulch, brush, firewood, property maintenance.

I've been looking at those trailers also. However I would of gone with a 16 ft. I have a kubota subcompact that is damn near 16 ft with the loader to the 3pt snow blower. But you probably won't be having do deal with a snow blower like here in ND. You'll find yourself using that little tractor for everything even the smallest of jobs.

I'm in the process of spec-ing out a new aluminum enclosed. Aluminum costs double on day one but pays back over time. I have a dump trailer that has been worth its weight in gold!!!IMG_1281.jpg

The 1025R is a nice tractor, never plan to live in snow country so a snow blower is a non player here. We get a maybe one 6-8” snow and it melts a day or two later. FEL will handle snow but doubtful I will need it. When it snows we stay home until it melts.
12’ Aluma trailer meets all my needs well and rolls nicely into basement garage. No need for a 16’ here- for my needs a 4’ longer tandem trailer seems like over kill especially for a SCUT/ subcompact utility trailer.

Looked at the Kub, just not what I what interested in being tall here I prefer the leg room and comfort level, performance and astetics on the 1025R. Bucket break load out capabilities illustrated here in this video as well as many other JD attachment options leaned towards my choice for the 1025R. My JD dealer is really close by and offers a 10 yr nontransferable original owner power train warranty as long as they service the tractor, not a bad deal. I will do oil and all filter changes, they will do the 50 hr service and all hydro fluid filter services. Both solid SCUTs IMO.

Hi, just wondering how the Aluma trailers are working out for those of you hauling subcompact tractors with them. Are they proving to be strong enough? Any issues with welds failing or other problems?

I have a Kubota BX with loader, mid-mount mower & filled tires - total weight ~2300#, which is very close to the Max payload of a 6312H, for example. However I’d rather not deal with the cost or weight of a tandem, so hoping a single axle will work. Will likely only haul the tractor 2-3x per year, 50 miles each way.

Thanks in advance for your input.
