The “high mode” on her air suspension cancels out at around 18 mph though

I think.... it does auto level to a point but could be wrong.

Unfortunately MT instructions are wrong for the 460. Those are applicable to the 470. No fuses or relays are removed.

The key to get rid of the suspension error on RAHC equipped 460s is to make sure you height sensors are plugged in and adjusted... some use washers but the air compressor is still plugged in. Some have removed the motor part of compressor and left the air solenoids in place to trick suspension ECU

'10-'13 Premium and '14-'20 Luxury models have the adjustable shocks and rear bags.

They have AHC on GX models - you just have to have the premium trim package. As noted they do automatically revert to stock height once you are going faster than 10-15 mph or so.

What does everyone think? Keep the chrome on the grille or black it out? I edited a picture to show what I’m talking about. In my mind I think it will look good in black cause I have a rigid light bar for the middle part of the bumper which will be the focal point since it won’t have any other chrome. Also lamin x in amber some rigid pods for the fog lights.EA3EA07F-DE18-4CC5-9C5A-29453842C1D7.jpgD2C328B4-B1DD-49CF-9AD7-E789172F1325.jpg A672D90B-7D6B-4C49-8195-8A69D291E2D5.jpg 8AA3E492-A15E-4139-854E-94779110321E.jpg

Definitely the second picture. I'm digging it. Do it! Been planning on doing the same thing, only with a different color.

I already started sanding the chrome so there’s no turning back. I think it will look better too. What color you going with?

So here she is for now. Finally road ready. I bought a quick trick alignment tool and turn plates to start doing my own alignments. The first one I did took me two days to get perfect matching numbers in regards to caster at 4 degrees and camber at positive .1 degrees. I still rubbed on body mount and on my reservoirs. Destroyed the king stickers. Then I did one more alignment and this time it was way faster. Took a few hours and the numbers were matching 4.8 degrees of caster on both sides and negative .1 degrees of camber On both sides as well and toe was easy with some string and 4 jack stands. I also cut more of the body mount and painted it till I can weld on a plate. Last but not least I swapped out my stock front bump stops for an extra set of super bumps I got for the tundra thinking I needed two sets. Same bolts worked. Test drove it and it drives perfectly, no pulling to either side. Stoked that I learned that. Thanks to @jberry813 for his write up on it that made me comfortable enough to tackle it. Now we need another 400 miles for my 4.88s to broken in and then I can really feel what she can do. Can’t wait to take her wheeling. 83348099-4C38-4B08-A285-840C2320F3A2.jpg1E08429E-6175-4CC2-B010-C719C4C91ADF.jpg87A580D2-527F-4C97-8568-4F50893420FB.jpg223A6713-1306-4178-87FE-5C7A959D0AF9.jpg2EE4D54F-CA88-4E96-8731-824B31835F0E.jpg8E3D0DBC-7AD9-4978-BFA8-0F61DD1E5984.jpg

So after getting everything done on my GX, I figured I’d try and get my timing chain cover leak fixed at the dealership and after about a half month it wasn’t covered by aftermarket warranty and they returned all my money which is great in the warranty part. Then dealership said $2500 to fix, not including water pump and thermostat or radiator. So I ordered all the parts including the parts mentioned and every gasket and I ring needed for the job. My question is since I have everything apart down to the timing chain should I replace the chain? The GX has 100k miles on it. Here is where it is now. I’m pretty much ready to put the cover on and do the new seal which is going to be the fun part. Instructions say I have 3 minutes to put RTV on and 10 minutes after to install and torque 34 bolts in a specific pattern. Everything else is just putting it back on and torquing it to spec. So I haven’t posted on my build thread for a minute after I fixed my timing chain cover leak, but I just got done deleting the third row seating and made a spare tire/high lift mount/sleep platform. I’m not 100 percent done with it since I’m waiting on the custom mattress that comes apart in 4 pieces for when I have passengers and if I’m loading up anything in the trunk area. Also, got done relocating my reservoirs for the third and final time to make the 315s fit without rubbing on them. I only have the door to make on the platform and installing some of the trim pieces on the bottom that I need to cut. 2B8DFEE3-404E-45C3-BA08-6D112C23CF94.jpg 5C8BE8DD-AE6B-4BB5-AC2C-96323371F4F4.jpg 88C44434-952B-4C1C-8B2C-3BE143B0058F.jpg B6A8E1AE-3BEE-4B33-B374-7A1C307380CA.jpg 2A343D47-C089-4DD1-8B4C-8C73193535CF.jpg 177E4982-2CEE-45B8-BC72-D3A31EB8BA4D.jpg 42021008-FD0A-4417-856D-2616B106F7B9.jpg

I also put a sherpa Yale roof rack on as well as a Yakima skybox 16 carbonite for when I go on long trips. I only wanted to put the spare tire, pro eagle Jack and my yeti cooler inside the vehicle. All other crap is going in the Yakima. Now I just need my 270 awning and some lights on the roof rack and winch to be 100 percent complete. I’m close. Just ran out of funds for the last pieces. I would love to get some fender flares for it since the tires have too much poke for me. Unfortunately I have had no luck with that.

I love this build. I had a GX470 previously. I sold it for the Tundra. I miss the relatively small size of the GX sometimes.

Thanks. It’s getting there. I got the GX to hit some tighter trails that my tundra may get damaged on. I really love the full time 4 wheel drive. Need to delete the rest of the chrome. Gonna paint anything chrome black.

I haven't done much to mine, lately. I did build a platform similar to yours, no 3rd row delete yet. I built my platform to hide my recovery gear and tools.

Awesome. I refused to get a rear bumper that holds my spare no matter how cool it looks. I just didn’t want all that weight that far back or in general. The rear seats are heavier than they look. I wanna say my box and platform weigh less than the seats and since we don’t have kids I have no use for those seats. Any reason you keeping the third row? If not, I would suggest getting them out. Shed some pounds to help with GWVR and make room for other stuff.

I just haven't committed to it yet. Then I need a place to store them while trying to get rid of them. I heard or seen a video on YT that said you're getting rid of something like 140/160 lbs, by removing them. I have the ICON Expo springs in the rear, so I am already ass high. I'll probably end up doing it this summer.

Ya honestly I would hate to throw them away since they are like new. I don’t think anyone ever sat in them, but I highly doubt anyone will want them. I don’t have a scale to confirm the weight but it’s a decent amount. I also added beefier springs cause I thought I was going to put a roof top tent. But I went this route cause the wife has a hard time getting into our tundras RTT and it’s sitting on a 10” kB voodoo rack. She actually fell off the ladder into our buddies ground tent one day. She was ok and had a good laugh about it.

Looks great! I got my wife the same with base model and some options but made sure no airbags. She previously had the GX470 and the airbags started giving us problems after 218,000+ miles so I got her one just like yours. Tires and rims looks good but then again, I don't think the wife likes it that aggressive :)

After that she was like I don’t want a RTT on the GX. She wanted a ground tent for it but I made the platform instead. If she doesn’t like it after the first time we use it for camping then I guess I’ll be getting a ground tent.

Thanks. I wanted a base model, but they’re harder to find. It was pretty easy to remove all the airbags. When I switched all the bars in the rear for the total chaos bars I had no where to put the ride height sensors. So I figured out a way to zip tie them in place so that the ride height sensor light would turn off. No issues since. As for tire size I would regear for sure. I went with 4.88s and added front and rear arb lockers.
