The chrome has grown on me with my SSM as well. Though I still really like the Platinum exterior look. I bought the 1794 for the interior.

I don’t hate chrome. I love chrome on any pre1970 hot rods or Harley Davidson motorcycles. Up to this date, chrome actually helped you speed through the air with less resistance and increased horsepower. During the following years, chrome became a cheesy coating on plastic and began to cut down on power and class. Just trying to help out my mentally deficient chrome obsessed brothers

I prefer chrome over color match or black plastic.

I really like the new black chrome grille from the Night Shade Limited edition. Thinking if ever to replace the silver regular limited grill, I will go with that.

Anyone put a Night Shade grill on a regular limited?

Funny, I loved the interior of the 1794 but bought the platinum because I liked the color matched front end of the MGM. But the best looking, most tastefully done Tundra that I ever saw was a leveled SSM 1794 with color matched riveted fender flares, aftermarket chromed whees.

What did you use to black out the front? I like the chrome on my black offroad but this looks sexy AF!

So you prefer chromed plastic over painted plastic?

I just inspected my truck again truly considering the chrome. Decided I like it. I wouldn’t have minded the color match bumper or the nightshade stuff. The front looks like a big ole smile to me as is, not like a gapped toothed, rotten mouth grin that some of these fronts look like!

for fun though, I wonder what it would look like with all bronze instead of chrome.....

I have chrome mirrors and handles off my 2018 Platinum I took off the third day I had it. It would look great on your truck

Thanks! I had the bumper caps and hood end done in 3M gloss black wrap, grill + surround is from an '18 Platinum so it has the color matched black surround. '19 TRD PRO headlights and a Katskinz black leather kit finished the black-out look.

I have a black limited and have been trying to decide on a grill replacement, between Platinum and Pro. When the Night Shade came out I thought wow there's my grill replacement, then I priced it out.

Almost $800.00! I just can't spend that much, when I can get a color matched Platinum grill for just north of $300.00.

Wow! that is expensive. I guess it is the rarest Tundra grill. I'll have to look out for used ones.
