Now that is funny:D Sold the 996 about 5 yrs ago and went to a 993. 996 is by far the best bang for your buck right now. Especially the turbo!

I'm a cheap son of a b. But I have very impulsive habits.

993 is my ticket. THat's what started my porsche love. Just couldn't pass up the prices of 996 turbos the last 12 months.

    You'll never regret keeping a 993.

Well if you call it signing your life away, to me that makes it sound like you really could not afford it. Do you have cash in hand to be able to pay off the truck right now? If not and you are further signing your life away by ordering a lift, then yes i would say you are ...not really crazy but...nevermind but thats just my opinion. What matters most is that you are comfortable with your decisions.

I partly agree but mostly disagree.... Paying cash for a vehicle just to have no payment is risky unless you have disposable income because life situations happen. Those of you including me who have houses know not to drain your money incase something happens. Hint to why most people finance their vehicles.

Not sure why a bias comment seems necessary to you @Tacogrande but fair enough. so let me just say lack of money isn't my issue, it's making sure I don't act off impulse and get what I really want.

To follow up on that as well. I signed a crap ton of papers for my truck so I said I signed my life away (which a normal individual would know it's a figure of speech) :notsure:

I had a tonneau cover and ESP underseat storage sitting in my garage for about 2 or 3 weeks before I bought my Tundra. Knew what I was getting, but the dealership kept screwing up and not getting me my truck. My wife asked me why I was buying stuff for a trudk I didn't even own yet.

I did not mean to offend you in any way Ted. You asked a question and i just shared an opinion. Whatever way you will enjoy your truck the most is the best way to go. I think these Tundras look awesome lifted.

If you have a mortgage then you borrowed money for your truck.

Even if you paid cash for it.

Let's just enjoy the trucks and save the preaching for the sinners of the truck world---Nissan people.

Even with disposable income. Financing makes sense if you can make more in the market or other investments.

That has always been my theory, right or wrong. My father in law has never owned a car that he did not pay cash for and that includes some very expensive ones. he is very proud of that fact. I on the other had would rather put/keep my money into investments and the market and get a much higher return than paying 1-3% on an auto loan.

I too would be proud of paying cash for my vehicles but I think sometimes people forget that debt is debt regardless of what you borrowed against. Someone may have put 40% down on his home, took a 15yr note and pays extra every month but borrows for his vehicles. Another guy may have put 5% down on a 30yr note but brags to the world he pays cash for his cars.

Having the money isn't the problem for me, it's more justifing it since I don't wheel alot to really need long travel suspension.
