Just curious how those who have put a rebuildable upgraded suspension on your truck such as ADS, FOX, ELKA, KING I'm just wondering how often one can expect a rebuild will be required. I understand type of use will be the determining factor but I also assume most of us have our trucks as a "mostly" road/highway daily driver but do some offroad camping and hunting. My issue is after paying $3-$4grand even if you install yourself yet the shocks require a complete rebuild every 5 years that's a tough pill to swallow. I mean disassembly 1 day. Shipping 75lbs plus cost of rebuild and then another day of reassembly one is looking at probably 2 weeks without a truck. So those of you with the better quality suspensions have you needed a rebuild and how often (time/miles) did this happen?

I have wondered this as well...how do guys get through the week or two of their truck being out of service while their shocks are being rebuilt?

Separate daily driver? Rental car? Put stock shocks/tires/wheels back on and pay for an alignment (and then pay for ANOTHER alignment when they get their rebuilt parts back)?
