Serpentine Belt?

    Was wondering if anybody has had issues with loud squeaking, squealing, and twitching. I hear it when I start my truck, which is on the weekends as I drive another vehicle. My 2008 has around 70 k on it. I have read a slough of comments about this issue. It eventually goes away, but I'm on the Obx and it doesn't get that cold. Was thinking about changing belt. Should I go with a better belt or stay factory. Plus could this be a tensioner or pulley problem. Any help would appreciated as always. Thanks

    I did on my 2012...but each time I brought it into the dealer for the warranty on it, they could not duplicate it. Go figure.

    Nope. It was interment...sometimes it did it, sometimes it didn't.

    I traded the truck in shortly after for the CM model due to space requirements.

    This means that the belt is slipping. Caused by lack of tension or worn belt. I don't have any experience with this for the Tundras. Mine does not do this.
    With only 70k on the belt i would think it was tension vs worn belt but you could have both checked.

    Thanks guy's, gonna have it looked at when I get a software update on truck. Quick question though. I looked at the Goodyear Gator Back Belt, vs $200 Toyota belt. Has anyone used this belt. I've heard good things from some other forums. Thanks

    I would go with Toyota, just to be safe as it is the serpentine belt ...

    I just replaced my belt tensioner pulley and idler pulley along with the belt. Had the same problem loud squealing for a bit than it would go away. Real quick and easy job as well
