'87 Pickup. 22R, 4 Spd,IMGP0593.jpg carbureted. Ran like no other. Loved the way it drove. Sadly, it lived on the beach and suffered what most of these trucks did, incurable body cancer. Sure miss that truck.

    Wish I could find pics.
My first was a ‘77 white pickup, manual, with over 100k on it. Drove it a few years.
Sold it still running great and bought an ‘80 orangish color, manual, with over 100k on it.
Why I never stopped buying Toyota?
Driving back from Tampa in my ‘80 it sounded like a tin can full of marbles coming from under the truck.
Pulled over on the highway and looked under at transmission and it was all wet with oil. As bad a sound as it was making I decided to keep driving, figured it was toast anyway. Got back to St Pete and went to quicky oil change place. Guy said it was pretty much dry, no oil left in it, but topped it off.
Transmission was quiet and good as new. Never had a problem with it and sold it still running great with 188k on it.

My first Toyota truck...1989 V6 4x4 SR5. What I would give to have this truck back.65F6F150-3162-4117-A333-66F20AF7E790.jpg23 years later...a few Tacoma’s and a 3rd gen 4Runner later. Oh and my little brother still being an a$&hat! F56A95D6-C891-4646-AED4-7B49D50F2A41.jpgI am diehard Toyota truck fan. And I swore if I ever became a millionaire I would have a mini museum of Toyota trucks. No super cars for me...

Dude, that is badass!!! Same one I owned for 20 frinkin years, I bought my 87 ....SR5, 4Runner, silver metallic while stationed at Ft. Jackson, SC... Drove it to all my duty stations throughout my 20 yrs career. sold it In 07, for a 2007 Camry....279k on the clock and still running strong.... Mine had a Sky jacker suspension lift, AAl, Mangels wheels, centerforce clutch and 33" BFG tires... Loved and missed that one... Used it on four crossed country trips to California and back to the right coast with no issues!!! It just would not stop running, that 22RE is bullet proof and slow ass Hell, but rode like a tank...

Let me try to dig out a photo!
    Awesome thread post

No pics of my '87 Toyota Pick-up 4X4, so this '89 is the next closest thing. Gave her a bath this past weekend. 285K+ miles and still going strong.Side 2.jpg .Side 1.jpg

First Toyota was a 2014 SR5 Tacoma. Second photo is my favorite picture I've ever taken of any of my vehicles. I think it could have been in a Toyota ad.

Wish I got into Toyotas sooner in life. Wasted too many years and too much money on the wrong cars. Wish I started earlier. Still own the Prius as its the commuter. Dont know if it counts but I once owned a 2006 Scion TC about 10 years ago.

My first was a 2009 Camry v6. I bought it in 2010 with 115k. Was a base model but in excellent condition. I don’t have the exact picture anymore but I did 1 nearly identical. I put Borla axel back exhaust and tinted the windows. D484B5C7-22C3-4ECC-BB35-1130339A5A49.jpg

Many Thanks! She’s survived my many years of abuse and then my sons’ abuse too. Hopefully this second restoration will be the last one needed.

Well, technically not exactly a Toyota but made by the same folks. This was a solid vehicle for us over the 15+ years that we owned it.
Driving this vehicle helped me understand why Toyota people become so loyal. I'm feeling the same way now after owning my Tundra for 11+ years.
Both the Lexus and the Tundra were purchased used from local drivers.
