I recently purchased (basically given) a 2003 Tundra Access Cab and want to replace the cloth seats with leather and wondered what seats are compatible with what? I want the truck to look OEM as much as possible while improving/upgrading it.
I have seen gray leather seat covers for 05-06 Tundras and the Sequoia and I'm not sure what rear seats and front seats are the same across years and models as the 2003 Access Cab. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Access cab tundras are identical between 2000-2004. Aside from that, I can't help.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've seen that the 00-04 are basically the same, but from what I've seen there wasn't a year/trim that came with gray leather interior.
I'm having a guy in make me some new covers for the front seats, but thought I might be able to find a set of back seats without having them made for a quicker/cheaper replacement. The same guy made seats for my 3rd gen 4Runner and I loved them, and they aren't too expensive.

Did any year 1st gen tundra come with access cab back seats in the light gray leather (maybe 05/06)?

What about the back seats? I don't think there is anything similar to the backseats in the access cab. I would like to be wrong though.

Personally, if I wanted to change my F&R seat covers without redoing the rear seats, I would find the rear seats in the color I wanted FIRST and have the fronts (already being recovered?) done to match. Recovering the rears might be cheaper anyway...'cuz match and all.

That's a good call @Stuck in the '00s but I'm trying to keep the oem color so that the interior isn't off. I found someone to do the fronts, maybe they can make a cover for the rears.

MY interior has about three different colors. I could pick from a dozen colors for the seats and it would still look great.

So, is the upholsterer already MAKING the front covers? Or just installing somebody else's covers? Or not yet?

The upholsterer makes front seat replacements for the tundra and has the same color. They have them in stock. I'm going to remove my cloth and replace with leather.

For those year access cabs they were in tan and two different greys. Can’t remember what the greys were called but one was a blueish grey and the other a greenish grey.
I have a very nice complete set of leather seat covers in one of the greys, can’t remember off hand which one.

I haven't been able to find any used seats in the gray color. I'm looking for the light color grey. Do you know anywhere that might have them, or someone that makes a replacement in that color?

I had my seats reupholstered with katskin leather. I did a grey with red stitching, but you can do anything you like because they are all custom. It is super high quality, like probably the nicest leather i have ever seen in a truck and way better than stock.

Leatherseats.com has a kit for the 1st gen Tundras. You might want to call and verify that the back fold down seats are included in that kit, although the website says they are.

They made the covers for my '93 MR2 and did a fantastic job on them. I've had them for about 10 years now and they still look almost new.

I was just wondering this other day. I have the sequoia center console swap and it has two spots for the seat warmers.

Has anyone swapped heated seats from a sequoia or DC into a non heated seat truck?

I’d like to know more about that console swap; did you do a thread, or post anywhere? Is it a straight swap, all 1st gens, or does it matter which cab, or broken down into split groups of years?

I’d like not to jack this thread (‘been following for seat update info!)... but I figure others would like to know, and I haven’t seen specifics yet anywhere on this forum.

If you go under my build thread, you can see pics of it. It’s not a direct swap but pretty close. I believe the first Gen DC and sequoia consoles will work.

You have blue-grey or light charcoal. They are both light colored.

So I’ve been researching non stop on and it appears the sequoia seats are a 3/4 swap (literally). They say if you have power seats already, it’s just giving the new seats power/ground. Three of the four mounting bolts match up but the fourth one (rear closest to the door) has to be opened up a bit to fit. I think I found my next small project.. damn it.

I have the light charcoal cloth and want light charcoal leather or synthetic to match the rest of the interior. I found a shop on ebay and ordered a bottom and back. Should arrive today so i will update how they look.

I took a center console from a 2005 sequoia I believe and put it in my 03 AC. Brackets don't line up, but am looking for some 05/06 DC brackets to swap in the front and back of the console.

I imagine if you just look up replacement seat covers from the dealer, they are going to be in the $300-$400 range for just the bottom or back. I'm trying this shop to see how they look.https://www.ebay.com/str/usautoseatcover

Thanks for this! I got as far as photographing the position and measurements of bolts inside my console— was gonna start a thread seeking info. I’d be thrilled if you chronicle your work, and I’ll hope to follow twiggy behind, with any variations when I emulate whatever you make work.

Back to the drawing board. After further research, it seems that the sequoia seats may not be the best option. Apparently they sit 2” taller than the tundras seat and they aren’t plug and play, at least for the heated option which is what I really wanted. Seems the power motors only need power/ground but the seat warmers are a little more tricky.

I called around to some local junk yards and each place called wanted $130+\- per seat. Local craigslist yielded little results with one guy offering to give them to me because they were in such poor condition lol. I decided look at other options which lead me to universal seat warmers made by dorman.

Watched a few YouTube videos and they seem easy enough to install. Most likely one of those things that the first seat will take you 2-3 hours and the second one less than an hour once you figure it out.

I called the local upholstery shop to see what they would charge to put them in for me which would be $180 per seat. He did mention that he offers installation of Katskinz seat warmers for $225 per seat but I still need to clarify if that’s installed in the seat or installed in the truck. Sorry for the long post but hopefully this helps someone in the future. Now to decide how much this option is really worth, $120 DIY or $450 professionally done.

Well I got the seat covers from https://www.ebay.com/str/usautoseatcover and they seem good quality and the color is what I was hoping for. I have to wait on final installation because they did not come with any hog rings. Once I get them installed I will update with pics and final impressions on fitment, etc.

I put a used driver's power Sequoia seat in my Tundra because the manual bucket wouldn't go back far enough to let me straighten out my left leg...made me gimp around when out of the truck. I dropped the Sequoia seat in after I cleaned all the contacts/gears on the seat mechanisms, then ran a dedicated circuit/power wire from the battery to the seat harness, and supplied a ground to the chassis. I have all adjustments except lumbar, which I've never cared for anyway. Seat color/pattern is a little bit different, but so are all the various camo duct tape "fixes" I have applied over the years...sunshine affects the fade factor greatly.
