Hey Y'all. I have a new Platinum and of course was stoked to be able to keep my boys cooled in the summer with the ventilated seat feature. Since getting it, I have been thoroughly impressed with the heated seats but I don't feel a thing from the ventilated seat function. The local dealer advised it is working correctly and that Toyota's ventilated seats do not actually blow air out and compared to other manufacturers are underwhelming. What has been your experience with the grape coolers?

    Thanks,

    Paul

Apparently your Platinum Edition didn't get all the bells and whistles.... get you a set of these. They are only for the the most upper of upper-class vehicles. You put your balls on them when you drive...... :burnrubber::rofl:

I have a 2014 Platinum and have no issues. Probably an expensive unit to replace (Warranty?), so they might have gave you a line. I would seek a second opinion. Nice on long trips to have the eggs over easy!

I've only had my 2013 Platinum for a few months and being that it is winter I haven't used my coolers too much. They have come in handy on a long trip when it's sunny out, the sun roof shade is open and the leather gets a little hot. After a minute or so the coolness was very evident and my grapes were once again happy.

It also had me thinking how these things work...is there a mini air conditioner under each seat? I can't imagine it running of the main a/c as it wouldn't work in the middle of winter.

Wasn't interested in spending the extra $ for something to whisper sweet nothings onto my gooch.
If someone figures out how to reverse that airflow so it sucks instead of blows then I may have to reconsider.

Ha! My wife went looking for that reverse switch the first time she was a passenger so I locked her window.

Owned my 2016 for just over a year and the ventilated seats kick ass! I live in San Diego so they get used almost year round. Good luck solving the problem with yours.
