I have a 2006 tundra and it has 200000 miles on it. The other day I got a check engine light come on and stay on. The code I got was p0101. Something to do with the mass air flow circuit. Can anyone help me understand what I need to fix?? Thanks in advance.

Hopefully you just need a new Mass Air Flow Sensor. You can source one online from the Hitachi Store (Toyota OEM) for around $50. Or, you can buy the same one from the stealer for $170.

Just a guess, but they do go bad and hopefully its as easy as an easy Sensor replace. Do your own homework and don’t rely on this above info as a perfect fix because you may have other issues.

I would pull it and clean it see what it looks like, if you have a multimeter you can ohm it out and see if its within spec. At 68 degrees it should read between 12.19-12.67K ohms.

Welcome to the forum. Buy a new one, it's worth the money even if it doesn't correct the problem. Please don't go to the local AutoZone and grab whatever, try and source the Hitachi or Jet
