I bought this from a local member on a whim for my double cab (2018). It was a good deal and he only ran it for 200 miles before deciding it was too loud for him. Unfortunately, I didn't really think it through. Without even putting it on, I know it is going to be too loud for me. My wife drives the truck a fair amount and it just isn't worth it... Anyway, not trying to make any $ on it, just trying to pass it along to someone else who it is right for. Located in Gresham, OR area (Portland). Prefer to sell locally, but shipping may not be completely out of the question. $500 firm.

If you're dead set on staying stock - then good luck with sale.

But if you're open to an exhaust (but quieter), you can give Keith a call and ask to trade your 8 inch system for a 10 or 12 inch system (I currently run the 12 inch system). All you have to pay is shipping to/from - which shouldn't be too expensive from Portland to California.

    Just a thought.

I appreciate the thought. Didn't call Keith, but assumed since I wasn't the original purchaser, that option wouldn't be open to me. Thanks for the reply.

I inherited an 8 inch system too (not the original purchaser) and he let me trade up to the 12.

Its not as loud as you think it is. Its an easy bolt on install. 4 bolts and a gasket. You should try it and see what you think. The resonator would even make it quieter. You primarily only hear it when you get on it. Its not like a flowmaster where you here it all the time.

    Pretty accurate description.

For me, the 8 wasn't excessively loud - it just had more pop/rasp at heavy throttle than I preferred. It was more of a tone thing for me. Drone/volume wasn't an issue with the 8 - and the 12 is even better for me - because it's mellower and cleaned up the tone to my preference.

Would this work with a ‘10 crewmax?

From what I've seen, yes. The CM and DC are the same system. Is that your dibs? I'm in behind you if so.

Take a look at the article in the link. This guy has a pre 2010 Tundra that required an adapter for the system to work. Best bet would be to take a look under your truck to see if you have the 2 parallel pipes (1 shorter than the other) leading into the muffler or if the driver's side is longer and curved.

Yes, the 07-09 model years are all unique. That is stated on the dirty deeds website. The truck in the article is an 07. From 2010 on they should all be the same.

Negative. The Crew Max and DC lengths are different. Someone on here tried to install it and found out that they were different.

So does that not say that the CM and DC should be the same?

Depends on the bed length, but yes, the CM and the most common DC configuration are the same.
Long bed double cab would be a unique part number.

It is actually 5 bolts if you include the rear clamp.

    Yes

    No they aren't.
The chassis on a CM and DC are the same length.

    NO.
    07 to 09 are different.
    @Dorks68 asked about a 2010.

DCLB is a double cab with a 8' long bed, of course it is longer than a DC or CM.

RCSB is a regular cab with a short bed, of course it is different than a DC or a CM..

I had a 10” system on my 2015 DC that I then transferred over to a 2016 CM. No issues.
