The CRM Software Robot does not care and clearly the Stealer does not care either so why even think about it again.

Must be getting tight at the Stealerships. People calling wanting me to trade in my 8 and 20 year old vehicles.

2 years ago the stealership said I needed new brake fluid (in other car) and I had just changed it! Looked pure. Also they said CV was leaking. I saw a few drops after inspection at the house. Wiped them and they’ve not returned. Planted?

Lastly, they popped me on the VC Gaskets leak which was a fair assessment of slight seep. Bolts were loose so wiped things down with brake kleen. Snugged the 10 bolts. Still dry.

    Saved $1490?

My sister's X5 started overheating 1 day, dealership inspected and came back with a quote for over $5,000. They explained that the engine is aluminum and the heads are warped.
I looked around under the hood and could not come to the same conclusion, neither could the local shop. VC gasket, thermostat and hoses. $400 and they included a wheel alignment.
Worst part of this thread? There are many just like it across the internet and yet this crap still continues, people get ripped off all day every day. This is why Tesla, Rivian and many others do not want to go the traditional dealer route, unfortunately they may not have a choice since our politicians are in on it

Many Dealers are politicians in my area. We had one a few years ago that made it in the ‘Big Club’ but folded like a panty waist in a cheap seat under a little pressure. If you look, most are lawyers and dealers in their past lives. The newer ones now are being groomed early in ideology with foreign money which is far more dangerous than the greedy old skool types.

'Flag Time' . . . I used to work at a Mercedes Stealership MANY moons ago . . . there was a 'front end re-call' . . . basically the entire front suspension assembly would come off the car and be replaced. The mechanics at the time got so good at removing/replacing those front ends, that they could get it done in waaay under half the designated 'Flag Time'. I remember one of the guys complaining about all the money he was making and the taxes he was gonna have to pay.... I'm sure the Stealer was making out too. I was just a kid at the time, but remember thinking that 'flag time' was a bunch of crap.

Did the stop thing and will just let it be.
Not that I care about pissing anyone off cause i'm good at it, but there are like 3 or 4 other Toyoda stealerships in town that would probably be more than willing to rip me off also.. just sayin.

So after watching a few Yo Tube videos on bad carrier bearings, i crawled under and did a play check. I gave it a good shake on each side of it and there was minimal play. The rubber is cracked and looks rough for sure, but do i really need to address it now with minimal play and no vibrations?

Probably not. Just keep an eye on it and replace it down the road.
