Is there any company out there that makes a blacked out headlight assembly like the spyder ones that allow me to keep the factory electronic height adjusting system? I am trying for a murdered look but still want to be able to readjust the lights when pulling my scout troops trailer.

Are you looking for "smoked" lights I.e the entire outer lens is tinted?
Or "Blacked out" as in the inside of the headlight is black(with a regular clear outside lens)?
    I would suggest the latter.

On 3rd gens, you can transfer the leveling motors over to the Spyders. I haven't been able to get confirmation that you can do the same on the 2nd gens. If that doesn't work, You can probably do, (or have someone do) what's locally referred to as the Blackout mod. This involves baking the lights to release the glue that holds the lens in, removing the lens, and painting the interior yourself. Of course if you're gonna do that, you might as well do a projector retrofit which will blow the spiders away.

Just search on this site for "retrofit" or "BHLM" and you will see a bunch of threads on the subject.
