Nope, don't think so. You still have no differential pressure between the sensor and the schrader valve or stem. The sensor has to be on the pressure side and the valve on the ambient side, subject to atmospheric pressure only. The PVC idea would result in all sensors indicating flat tires, because the pressure on the sensor would be the same as the pressure on the valve.

Drill a hole then and install like on a wheel.

Yeah, four holes, one for each sensor, and install sensors like they would be on a wheel. That would work.

I wonder if you can change the pressure when the light goes off on techstream. If you can change it to 0, that would probably turn it off. I'll try next time I hook up to techstream. But that would be too easy and I'm sure someone would have found that by now.

Yep, several ideas on that thread.

One guy just taped them together and installed them inside his spare. So the drilling a hole in the pvc pipe is not needed.

Well, I'm keeping mine. I need a reminder after airing down. I can see myself driving home a couple hundred miles on 20 psi.

This video is on a Chevy Malibu, and proves that just tossing the sensors inside the tube works.

Not sure how to explain this, but I will try:

The sensor is on the inside of the TPMS sensor. The Shrader valve just delivers the compressed gas from outside of the tire to the inside of the tire. nothing to do with delta P.

Here is a good image of the parts breakdown of a TPMS sensor:

Yep, only thing I can think of is a sealed sensor housing, and a constant fixed pressure inside the housing.

That is my understanding of how they work, rather than using barometric pressure as a reference. But truth be told, once you get to what goes on inside a sensor or module, it works on the PFM principle in my mind. That's Pure F@&?ing Magic...

Oh, and don't forget to thank Firestone tires and the Ford Exploder for where we are today with TPMS. That IS what started it all.

Ok, but I do feel dumb right now. Somehow I missed the part of the conversation where almost everything I posted in that reply had already been said. Duh! Oh, I bet a beer will help...

No, I was being serious. I learned a bunch from you today...and YouTube, Google.

@Ericsopa started it by asking questions. I like people that question if it doesn't make sense to them. Brought on some good conversation.

I learn a ton from people on this site everyday.
