He can hook you up with the factory mirrors.
    They're easy to add on.

I paid 465.00 to my door for factory tow mirrors from Sparks

One of the vendors on this site will take good care of you.

Yep, that's about what I paid...sucks considering it is only a $50 option from the factory.

The biggest complaint I read about non-Toyota tow mirrors is their tendency to vibrate. If that doesn't bother you, you could save some coins by going with cheaper tow mirrors. 1A-auto makes another some good ones for about half the price of Toyota ones. Me? I went with Toyota tow mirrors. I was willing to pay extra for the quality.

Question for anyone with the OEM mirrors. When they are not extended, how much wider are the mirrors than the ones that come on the truck stock? I'm picking up my TT this weekend and need to order tow mirrors but I want to know if I'm going to be able to fit into my garage with them on. It's pretty darn close as it is.

are you talking about when they are folded in? I just fold mine in when I back into the garage, pull up to the ATM, stop at a drive-thru window, and when I park in a parking lot.

Thanks @DVYota I should have been more clear. So essentially what you're saying is that you fold them in a bunch. That's helpful to know.

    FNG question

In addition to replacing the stock non-towing mirrors, does anyone run with one of those fisheye stick-ons with the towing mirrors?

@Roman - I might be sending you a message soon.

I ran the stock - non-towing - mirrors with fisheye mirrors attached and the did OK. However, now that I have the towing mirrors, I find that I can do pretty well with the lower mirror serving that purpose. There are definitely those that like them and those that don't, but so far they work pretty well for me.

No OEM tow mirrors have the blind spot monitoring. 1AAuto has a set that offer the BSM though. That's your only option.

Will these work on the '17? My Dealer said that it was impossible to add them if they did not come with them from the factory. Seems unlikely... but you never know.

Planning to order the OEM tow mirrors...How much of the door panel do you have to remove to swap the mirrors out? Only truck I have done it on was my old Silverado, and I had to remove the entire door panel to get to the wiring.

Entire door panel needs removed. It's very easy if you take your time. There are some videos and a write up around here if you do some searching. First one took me 20min, second took 10. I then did a friend's and it was 15min or so total for both sides.

My local dealer also just told me that it would be a crap shoot to add them to my 2017 after the fact. They told me that there are like 25 different possible wiring harnesses that are used in the Tundras, so the OEM tow mirrors may or may not work depending on which wiring harness is in the truck. He said the harness is about $3k, and they can't take returns on the tow mirrors if they end up not working. He said aftermarket mirrors will be my best option.
