I'm thinking about getting some General Grabbers put on my Tundra. Anyone had any experience with these?

    Yes. don't.

<rant>Had them on my Durango. Blew a tire due to MFG. defect and I had to fight with General for 4 months to get them to honor their road hazard warranty, at which point they offered $50 off on a replacement tire.

I now tell all who will listen to stay away from Generals. Sooner or later you'll hate them (sorry a bad play on their old commercials). Hopefully, I've dissuaded enough buyers to have cost them more than they would have spent just doing the right thing.</rant>

I currently have BFG KO2's and I love them.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm looking for some factory sized (265 70 18) ATs as most of my driving is highway. I want something that will work in mud & snow but I want them to be quiet on the pavement. I'll take a look at the BFGs. Any more recommendations?

Do you like the Michelins that came on the truck? The LTX?

The only problem I have with the michelins is the price. I bought the truck used and the original tires had been replaced so don't know much about michelins except they are pricey. As for the toyos I haven't looked into them but I will.

True story. When I got my first set in 2012 I think that the Duratracs and the BFG M/T's were the only extreme snow rated tires.

The stock Michelins are great on the hiway but week off road. I have replaced 2 with punctures and have two with slow leaks and multiple patches. They are just not built for off pavement use.

Plenty planned thanks to all of you.
It's interesting hearing the issues with the AT2's. I had them on my 2010 4R as well as my 2015 4R and had absolutely no issues with them. Granted I was 80% road / 20% fire road, light trail, etc. but they did excellently in the snow, had minimal hum on the road and rode really well.

I've had 3 sets of Grabber AT2 tires and have no complaints. Not doing any serious off-roading but they work great in snow and sound good on the highway. These type tires never seem to last as long as I'd like but the AT2s wore well and had decent life.

Im a Toyo/Nitto fanboy. I worked at a tire shop for a couple years and they were always our best performing brand.

Had General Grabber Red Letters on my Tacoma and had a good experience with them. Got 50k out of them with regular roatation(probably could have stretched another 5k). They were heavy for their size but performed great in everything except snow and ice. Even for a mud terrain I thought they were below average on slick roads. Im getting ready to throw the Grabber X3's on my Tundra to see how they perform.
