Bedrail attachment/cleats

I wanted to add some attachment points on my bedrail and was looking at some options.
I looked around I found a guy selling clears from his Tacoma, but dealership tells me it would not fit and I need to buy Tundra ones. They may want to sell me some, so I challenge this.
Did anyone tried anything else as attachment points other then OEM Silver Cleats? Are there any aftermarket options cheaper? Dealer wants $70 for OEM

 

While you sort that ^^^ out...........have you added Bull Ring attachment points to the top of the bed rails themselves? In all 4 corners? I think when I did it 3.5 years ago the parts were maybe $40??? Very useful having attachment points at those locations.

I'm pretty sure the tacoma cleats should fit. The deck rail is the same size. You can order T-nuts for it and use tons of different aftermarket accessories.

 

I have Leer 100XR cap on my truck, so bedrails are the only options

 

Taco ones fit. I have my old taco cleats and mini taco tie downs in my tundra rails.

 

What are Taco Mini Tie Downs?

 

They also looks nice, and usefull, but do not work with bed cap.

Mine don’t have the hook. In 2005 they were only the small loop.

 

The Tacoma and Tundra use the same exact rail, so the Tacoma cleats will fit.
