Yep, in WA. So is my cousin that I mentioned earlier. Maybe it was how the insurance company wanted to play the game? I’m almost irked you got the run around. But maybe it was related to the damage on your truck vs. my car. Still doesn’t explain the legal advice you got. Strange

50k on my 16 CrewMax. No accidents, but one nut internationally rammed me from the her drivers side into my passenger side because I was in her way and her lane was ending. Literally swerved into me rather than merging orderly and safely. Her car was a crash derby car. My Tundra was pristine.

She would have gotten her a$$ beat on the side of the road. This jacka$$ almost hit me yesterday with 2,000 miles in.

My pro should be repaired in about 2 weeks. Ended up just over $9k in damage.

She was probably 60, 1/4 of my size, screamed and cussed like a damn fool for 10 minutes about me not moving in my big fancy red truck out of her way, had purple hair, and a very unhealthy look. Life had already done more to her than I could. She is probably a corrupt election worker.

I’d try to get some compensation for depreciated value. That’s a substantial amount of damage.

Yep, I got hit on the left front and I was in the process of shifting and was letting up on clutch. Impact bent a couple of fins. After 2 weeks in shop I go to pick up truck and clutch is grinding. I was like WTF I know you guys drove the truck. Insurance depreciated the clutch but on a new truck that should not be the case.

Well. My truck is fixed. Very happy with the repair. Working on the diminished value claim now.

I had originally called the person who hit me insurance company and they said it could be weeks before the process could be started. So, I called my insurance to get it started faster. I didn’t end up using my insurance and I called them and told them I wasn’t going to file with them. Flash forward.....my premium renewal shows up and they ding me for a claim. I am livid.

No kidding. I would be as well.

I’d suggest that once you’ve taken a few deep breaths, run 2 miles, split 3 cords of knotty firewood...

...or whatever it takes to calm down, call their customer service number and cooly and calmly  escalate things until you can speak to someone reasonable AND helpful enough to straighten their mess out. :)

If that doesn’t work, might be time to shop around.

Well. Maybe it was corrected. My wife called today and talked to the claim guy. He said he didn’t think it could be reversed but would call his supervisor. Needless to say we got an email saying our premium dropped $350/mo. Keeping fingers crossed!

Nope. That email was from shopping insurance with a higher deductible. I’m guessing I will be eating this one.
