Got mine in SoCal for MSRP out the door. It's not impossible, just not easy.

Nice man. Lunar rock? I have a buddie that got a white one at MSRP from Puente Hills Toyota but I never saw a lunar rock during the whole month I was searching.

I heard Longo Toyota does MSRP but theres a waitlist.

Super White, I wanted the fastest color. Lunar Rock is nice though.

Toyota Walnut Creek does MSRP - $1. Just picked up my super white from them last week. They were allotted 9 pros for the 2021 model - not sure when they will have the next one on the lot. Call and check if you’re interested!

Auburn Toyota (Northern CA) will do MSRP as well. They didn't even list it with mark up either, just MSRP no haggle at all. Picked up my 21 Superwhite in October right when it hit the lot.

My local dealer, Kirkland, Toyota just got a Lunar Rock on site and won't go below 5K over MSRP.

Do you plan to do serious off-roading? That is what a PRO is for. If not the Platinum should be a consideration. Especially if you like all the things that come with a Platinum (leather, sunroof, etc).

The crew max 4x4 SR5 with TRD off-road plus package is a hot truck too. Read this post: TRD Pro vs all other trim levels | Page 2 | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

$1500 under sticker, but I brought a trade. It was a difficult negotiation.

So just put a deposit down on a 2021 TRD Pro (Super White) and hope to pick it up in a few days when work schedule allows. Right now, assuming no surprises, I have a MSRP of $54,645, and discount of about $3400 from MSRP before Doc fee, Tax, Title, and License.

Seemed like a good deal compared to what I am seeing here, so hopefully the #'s stay the same once I go to complete the purchase.

I’ve found dealers will come off their “market adjustment” pretty quick if you play their game. Sit down and let them run your credit so they know your serious, then when actual negotiation starts not the over email or text negotiations, say the mark up has to go or I’m gone and they’ll start working with you pretty quick. Good luck on getting one under msrp. I tried for a couple months and ended up in a optioned out sr5 because it was 10k cheaper then the pro even though the stickers were only 2k different.

That is great, I would buy it. I am running in to "market adjustment" tacked on to MSRP everywhere. One dealer had the balls to tell me their market adjustment of $3,500 was fair compared to what other dealers are charging. "Fair"??? Odd sense of fairness. That is like saying "at only $3,500 markup we aren't screwing you as bad as the other guys, you should be grateful how fair we are".

That would pretty much be the best deal I think I've heard of so far. The best I've been able to find in a multi-state search is $500 off MSRP. Do you have a trade in?

No trade. I don't want to celebrate too much just yet as I've seen things happen in the past. After I sign the rest of the paperwork and get the keys I'll let everyone know how it went.

Agreed and even a better deal if no trade. It seems like most of the decent deals involve a trade where the dealer is making up for the "lost" profit on the resale of the trade. I put a deposit down for an allocation at the "$500 off MSRP" dealership, but I won't believe it until the check is cashed and the truck is sitting in my driveway. Hope it works out for you!

Ok, so just picked up my new TRD Pro... And yes, they kept the pricing as we discussed (MSRP of $54,645, and discount of about $3400 from MSRP before Doc fee, Tax, Title, and License). The dealership was really awesome to work with, and they had me out in about 40 mins. Now I have to start saving up for accessories!

Hope this topic is not dead but Im curious on how anyone is getting discounts on the pros. Im new to Toyota and 4-6 dealers have been pretty $h!t to deal with. Im in the military got off work and went to look at a pro took it on test drive loved it for a stock truck! Then comes the 10k markup, the floor manager says oh its gonna sell for that so it is what it is. Only interrupting me and the young car sales guys conversation about how sweet the truck is etc. Im just dumbfounded on the markup and the false promises Toyota dealers were making.
Had one dealer match my trade and quoted msrp on the pro. Said sweet done deal send me the itemized information and ill sign today. Sends me a quote with a 10k over price attached after dealer manager swore up and down it would be an msrp deal. Needless to say bad taste in my mouth. If you say your going to do something do it and be upfront.
Have had a few new vehicles in the last years always way below MSRP and usually close to cost as I refer people and do solid business.
So...I have a deal working for another pro another dealer and Im gonna hold my breath as they said no markup just give us the chance to earn my business.
If this falls through ill just walk i to my Chevy or GMC dealer and get the discounts on a 2500 AT4 for whats being asked for a Pro with insane markup.
I wanna drive a Toyota, wanted one since I saw the black truck in back to the future! But woweeee the sleeeeze at the Toyota dealer put me off a bit.
Sorry long post but I want info on pro tundra discounts. Toyota dropped Costco discounts on pro and plat models. Now cant find Toyota in costco pricing anymore.
Frame of reference, currently own 4 vehicles. 96 tahoe 310k miles paid off, 2019 ZR2(wife's truck). 2016 ram rebel(my trade, nothing wrong with it maintenance is primo new tires tonneau cover brakes everything is ship shape)56k on the clock, and a 2009 ford f150 240k on clock family truck that I'm selling to my brother. Why the disrespect and dishonesty? My friends drive Toyotas and I like the simplicity, but they all hated the dealer experience and have not been back for anything but warranty work or covered maintenance. Oh and solid credit for a long while now so it should be a non issue.
what prices did you actually get for a pro, got the info from previous posts but dang am I the only one that feels that customer service is a big part of the buying process.

I live in the southeast. We have several asking for marked up adjustments but one dealer who told me they couldn’t source a Lunar Rock because no dealer would trade for it but offered to sell me a white for MSRP. The sales guy called me and said hey man, I know you don’t want white but you can get a Lunar Rock at this dealer 200 miles away Good luck. (Nice of the guy knowing he wasn’t getting the sale)

I called that dealer and asked if they would sell at MSRP as I wasn’t interested in buying over MSRP and the salesman told me “we are a small town dealer. We sell at $1000 below MSRP.” I was like, well ok then. I had a trade too that the deal couldn’t be beaten. I was honestly still considering a Ram at the time but what he offered me over the phone for trade was $10k more than Ram. Thought, I was going to drive all the way to this small town and have a bait and switch happen even though it was in writing because they hadn’t seen my trade. Arrived, was at dealer 30 min, they honored every number. Best dealer experience I had ever had. Still don’t believe it. But the deal was too good to be true. Doubt lightning strikes twice.

What part of the US are you in....? Seems to be easier to get discounts in some areas compared to others... (I stumbled into my deal through a pricing error online that the dealer honored, so my data point is definitely an outlier at this time).

Also, given the current economic threats due to the state of politics and COVID shutdowns... If you don’t need a truck right now, I’d definitely look for the deal that is right for you and not take any silliness from dealers. It is very possible that dealers will be more excited to sell in a month or two. (Of course, I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn last night, so what do I know? Heh!)

Yeah I am in New Mexico. Trucks are a way of life here and never cheap. Have a trade and idk might be worth it. I will be upside down for a bit but I am working to get MSRP at least on a 21. Carrying over some debt will be fine But I'm not paying 5-10k over no matter how good the truck is etc. I got clipped in a hit and run and it trashed my truck resale so either I sit on it or get what I want and not look back who knows. Im not getting any rebates but I'm not sucking my thumb either.[/QUOTE]

Is one close to you that you like? Might be worth a "Hail Mary" tomorrow.... last business day of the year and all. Tomorrow is a special case and may work in your favor if they need to hit a sales quota for the month / quarter / year.

Maybe go in a few minutes after they open, maybe even bring in a few coffees from the local coffee shop for yourself and the salesperson. Make sure the TRD Pro doesn't have any issues and you like it, and then tell them you'll buy it TODAY if they go $1500 under MSRP and give you XXX on your trade (you'll need to decide what is reasonable there).

I'd also recommend checking their website in advance to find out what "fees" they throw on deals, and you may want to offer MSRP - (1500 + fees) for their truck. This may or may not be do-able, but worth a shot.

Oh, and don't tell them "I am a buyer today at 1500 under MSRP and no fees..." as they will come up with some "we have to charge everyone the same fees..." blah blah blah. Just tell them whatever the total amount would be off.... Say, fees are $399, tell them "I'm a buyer today at MSRP - 1899." If they won't go that low, then be prepared to walk and search around a bit more.

Make sure you have your own financing in place first too... and know what your payment / month should be BEFORE going and letting them try to match / beat your rate. Sometimes dealers will "beat" your rate, but you end up paying more because they snuck some other charges in there.

    Good luck in your hunt!

Play hard ball. Walk away when it's not the deal you want. Keep searching. I contacted no less than 20 dealers from the Great Lakes west (I'm just outside Portland, OR). Had plenty of $5k over, a few $10k over, and one $15k over. I told a few of them politely to pound sand. I told the $15k guy to piss up a rope (literally). I had one dealer in WI offer me $2k under MSRP, but it would have cost me that in airfare, gas, lodging, and my time to go pick it up. I ended up out of pure luck finding one at a dealer only 85 miles north of me that they first quoted $3k over, and then within minutes emailed me back stating that because I was a "local" buyer (they'd been getting inquiries from across the country, but their manager wanted to sell it in-state), they would "only" ask MSRP. After all the other numbers I'd been getting, that felt like a great deal. We didn't even talk about trade-in until I drove up there the next day to do paperwork and pay the down payment. They did hold the truck for me until I could get up there the next day (my first contact with them was about 5pm on a Saturday night).

With the truck price sorted out, the only haggle I had to do was on trade-in. I knew what I could get out of the truck selling it private party, but up here trade-in will also knock down your sales tax. So I let them offer me trade (they low-balled), I countered with what I wanted (the total offset with taxes being equal to what I would get in private party sale), they tried to come back under that, I held firm, and they said OK. Saved me the headache of trying to sell a truck with almost 300k on it, and I was the proud owner of a new TRD Pro (other than the fact I had to wait 4 more days for it to actually arrive at the dealership). The only thing I kick myself on is not working in a tire swap (I had 275/70R18 KO2s with only 10k on them on the old truck) in the trade-in. But I now that I've got the 295/70R18 Falken's, I'm more than happy with the outcome.

One other thing that was nice - the dealership actually had a local credit union they were working with that offered 1.9% financing (not part of the Toyota stuff) - which was better than I could get from my own credit union. I only financed about $20k (rest was trade-in or cash), but that was a nice little bonus. I also managed to get a truck that had NO extra factory- or port-installed options on it, so the MSRP I paid was for only the truck. So I've been able to save even more as I actually put my own accessories on it.
