Did you buy new doors or just repaint yours? I'm looking to do something with our cabinets, but pretty sure I will need to replace at least the doors.

We reused the existing. We used TSP to clean them. Then i sanded them all, primed, rolled and sprayed. It was alot of work but came out nice.

Bathroom drywall was sanded down to a smooth finish today. Still waiting on the tile guy to come over and get the ball rolling.

Put up the lights in the neighborhood again. Every year there's a few of us that put these up and string them from house to house. Couple houses are the power suppliers. All the strands work, the top one just wasnt on the timer yet as its hard to get full visual with just the lights. There are 16 strands from different houses running about 100 yards of street.

Not much to see, but the kitchen cabinets arrived today. Drywaller is starting tomorrow morning laying down some mud and corner bead in the kitchen. Slowly coming together.

There used to be a street in Austin that was known for their X-mas lights. All the neighbors would decorate and there was one guy that would have put Clark Griswold to shame. He would have a path that went around his house and at the end of it was his electric meter with a donation bucket attached to it. That thing would just be spinning like crazy. Good times.

Found an old picture of it:

My very first ‘smart thing’ for the house was delivered today; a video doorbell. This is one of the rare ones that don’t require a monthly subscription to use.
Install was pretty straightforward, but I had to move the wiring up about half a foot for the camera to actually see the top half of a normal sized human

From the look of your truck tires, I would have expected your wreath to be a bit heftier.

It’s not about the size of your wreath, it’s how you present it.

That wreath is just temporary anyway, I need to grab a new one for this year. That was the only one left not destroyed by dry rot...

Had 4000 lights on the tree, 900 on the house. Have another 2100+ lights to go.... I bought a lot of lights at half off last year from Walmart on the day after Christmas.

Makes sense. Most construction down here is home condo based. I don’t see many contractors wear anything. If you go on a major job site it is different. I have been doing rigging on boom/snorkel lifts for many years. I just started wearing fall harness in the last two years. Not cause anyone told me I just don’t want to die now that I have kids.
