I bought an 05 that was losing brake fluid. Figured out that it was leaking into the brake booster.
Now comes the problem. I went on Pep Boys site and ordered a reman master cylinder & booster, according to the options listed. Picked up my order....and the cylinder is obviously wrong.
My truck has stability control. Which seems to make the parts impossible to find, except at a dealer for $1800.
Can the master cylinder be rebuilt? I can't even find a kit. Used parts from a junkyard on a 12-yr old truck seems risky.
Any suggestions or am I stuck going to a dealer?
