Has anyone successfully been able to acquire a SR5 TRD Sport with leather package straight from the factory? If so, please post pictures.

    thank you!

Think most have ended up going with katskinzs leather. I looked at a few and have yet to see a leather package in TRD PRO.

The Katzkin leather cost too much compared to the factory leather option. Secondly the factory leather option includes a leather wrapped steering wheel which could easily be a couple hundred bucks.

The issue is where you live and are shopping. If you are in a region where Toyota sales are franchised, the franchisees offer different packages. I'm in FL, and SET offers what you are looking for and I can build it that way with Leather on an SR5. If I build a Tundra SR5 in NY, Toyota sales are completed by Toyota Sales of North America, and they do not offer what you are looking for. And to finitely answer your question, the leather for the franchisees is handled at the "Port," not at the factory.

Understanding Toyota and their Franchises throughout the USA has been an education.

I understand port and factory options are a difference but to my understandings and knowledge. The option shown on my builder site based on my region shows that the leather package is a factory option not port. Secondly at the end of the day all Tundras come from the Texas plant no where else.

MSRP is like $1600, so therefore invoice would be $1200-1300ish.

Your incorrect on your assumption. The builder option your looking it is a regional franchise option. And "Ports" do exist for the franchises. Southeast Toyota (SET) has all their vehicles shipped to Jacksonville from the domestic plants and imports outside of the US. At that "port" they install their options and packages and distribute the vehicles throughout their franchise. Within the franchise, a unit does not go from say a plant in Texas direct to the dealer in the US. Where as Toyota Sales NA/USA does ship from plant direct to dealer.

The brochure is electronically created for your region when you put your zip code in and cookies were created within your computer for the profile.

I mean if you’d like i can change up the postal code all over the US and most likely end up getting the same brochure.

    Your brochure is a 2020, not a 2021.

I’m aware, Toyota hasn’t released the 2021 brochure yet.
