Thanks. Headed down the mountain from hunting. Had to turn the headlights off to get a decent pic.

Love the Blimp. I got to fly in it back when I was a child. The pilot let everyone take a turn at the controls. Mom has pics of it somewhere.

Any good Trails or Forrest roads there? Would definitely make the 250 mile trip out that way, Hampton Roads is terrible for anything like that.

It's not that kind of trip for me this time, family and Thanksgiving. But yes, there are a lot of them out here. Flagpole is pretty popular. Google GWNF ATV trails as a start.

Also, during any open hunting season Goshen Wildlife Management Area is good. We went there every spring gobbler season when our kids were little. One main fireroad to the top with a bunch of barely cleared trails. Some are probably not trails, more like space between trees. Not real technical, some creek crossings. The main road gets pretty rocky near the top, and one wide. If someone is approaching from the opposite direction one of you is going to have to back up.

A little hike today to burn off some Thanksgiving calories.

It didn’t work — I immediately went for the pecan pie when I got home. :anonymous:

Ventured out to cut down a Christmas tree today, found a tree swing right on the edge of the Mogollon rim. Beautiful day!

Wenatchee area? I always considered that more "northern Washington" but I guess North Central works too. Love it.

    I miss North Idaho...

Herman Creek Pinnacles and Dry Creek Falls, both along/near the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) near the Cascade Locks/Bridge of the Gods trailhead in the Columbia River Gorge. Just about 9 miles round trip - we got started late (10:50 at the trailhead), and there were a lot of people out today...almost all of them with dogs. It was also cold - most of the trail was frosty/icy and the temp never got above 38.

The basalt formations in the gorge never cease to amaze me.
