Is this good for 05-06 doublecabs too? I haven’t changed my bulbs in a long time and would love some extra light power

Am I just over thinking this

archive list their u-bolt flip as fitting 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma’s plus 1st gen tundras. Best I can tell that’s an axle tube diameter of 3 inches. Supreme suspensions list theirs specifically for a tundra @ 3.5. Relentless fab list theirs at 3.25 for Tacoma’s but may fit other stuff. So I can just pick one and be good?

I’d go measure my truck but I’m call and have the company truck And mines in the lay down yard

I am thinking about squeezing a group 31 NS battery in the stock location. My rough measurements say it will fit. The weight is around 70 pounds. I have seen a few taco guys have issues with that weight on the inner fender. Does that hold true on the tundra?

How much does the Spec’d Group 24 weigh and why are you trying to put in a larger battery?

I went up to a size 27 and tried to find a bigger battery tray but wasn't able to.

I think I read 46 pounds. I also think maybe group 27 was an option if you have the tow package or cold weather package in the later years. My tray is much bigger than the installed battery in my truck. I think my group 31 is around 72 pounds.

Whats your purpose for the bigger battery? Are you saying your current battery is undersized or someone put in a bigger tray that will allow a bigger battery?

I have those exact pads and they do well. Just follow the break in period. They are low dust for sure which is nice. The rotors are some unknown brand (not slotted or drilled) from about 2 years ago.

    Truck stops well with these.

    @empty_lord

Whats your angle of attack on removing the fuel filter nuts/bolts on the 2002? Seems like using a box wrench to hold the bolts heads on the top of frame coming from the rocker side of truck would work, but what are you using on those square nuts underneath? Looks tight up in that C-Frame.

Did you buy a new bracket with your fuel filter?

Not yet. I was just thinking ahead and it may be a while before I do it. The current one is my 3rd or 4th since new. It has about 30k miles on it.

Seems like the others who’ve replaced it before just swap out the canister part and not the entire frame mount. I’ll be doing the Toy unit full replace.

Sounds like a good idea. There was carnage for that bracket when I did my filter. I think it was original at 230k.

So I’m sitting on the tailgate with nobody for miles around tanning my hands at the lake when two fishermen motor up to the landing in their bass boat.

Guy jumps off the boat and goes around the corner and pulls up his similar colored as mine Turd Gen with the trailer. Guy is having a hard time backing it in and then gets out and tells his buddy he ‘misses his small truck’.

Just planning ahead as I always wondered about the weird angles on doing the full replace. It will be next spring sometime as its not urgent.

First snow of this winter is upon us.

Currently 34°F down here where people inhabit. Real cold up there in the atmosphere. Ground is wet from rain the last three days. Unless there is a flash freeze down here at tree level I'm not expecting any of it to stick.

Hopefully there won't be a 2009 Ice storm repeat. The way 2020 has been, it wouldn't surprise me.

Edit: according to the weather interpreter its 34°F.
