Go to the original post #1 for details and the video. Order it from Lou's website https://www.fracv2.com/order/ You need to buy the camera separately.

Do you make anything for a 2007 Tundra SR5 with factory backup camera?

No I don’t. The FRAC Harness is designed for 2014-2021 Toyota vehicles.

OK guys, I FINALLY got my FRAC harness working properly, and it is AWESOME! I cannot tell you how thankful I am for Lou (@TundraTex). He stuck with me through a LOT of troubleshooting, spending way more time with me than I was worth, as you'll see below.

Let me explain why I would not have been a very good mechanical engineer. The following image is from Lou's manual for installing the FRAC harness:
    upload_2020-11-28_13-14-21.jpg

See that little word at the top of the photo that says "TOP"? It matters. Here is the photo that would have saved Lou (and me) a LOT of time and frustration:
    upload_2020-11-28_13-16-42.jpg

See the difference? I didn't until it was pointed out to me. Actually, I need to give Brian, with Anytime Camera, credit for this one. Lou had given up and was going to give me a full refund since we could not get it to work in my truck. I was going to order the Anytime to try it out. I had already bought the Anytime switch and had a camera, so I called to see if I could just order the harness. Brian recognized the issue immediately and the FRAC started working properly immediately after I connected it properly. He even laughed when I told him that he had just talked me out of buying the Anytime harness!

A bit of really good news to add: Inserting the FRAC harness into the wrong 28-pin port on the head unit does not seem to damage either the head unit or the FRAC harness. It just gets you the following functionality: No camera unless in reverse - head unit operates normally; Front camera when in reverse UNLESS the rear camera is selected on the switch, in which case the rear camera is displayed.

One more note: I overcomplicated this installation WAY too much by watching EVERY install video I could find, and not paying enough attention to the very good instruction manual that Lou includes with the FRAC harness. I'm pretty sure the installation would have gone more smoothly if I had not watched any videos and just followed his instructions! The only video that I really needed was to show me how to disassemble the dash enough to run and connect the cables.

Thanks again Lou for all your help!

@Bakershack, thanks for your post. I’m very happy that things are working now. Kinda mad at myself for not following the number one rule of remote troubleshooting - Assume nothing! Lesson has been re-learned. Happy FRAC-ing!

Finally Had a chance to install my FRAC harness and Front Natika camera . Install went great , though had to call Lou a few times . Lou was very helpful and responsive . We followed lot of instructions from some of the posters on this thread which was very helpful. The Harness is great , wish the switch cables were a little longer to accommodate the switch install under the armrest , but was no biggie , we solder extra length. We also installed the Rago dash mount while I had the stereo out .

Has anyone used the front camera as a dash cam? Like have it constantly on and recording but also have access to use it for parking and such? I’m thinking about a fisheye camera, so I can see the front bumper and the horizon.

On the trails, I’d would have it on to see what’s in front of me or as I descend. I’m not sure if anyone has recording capabilities.

You can easily accomplish DVR and dash cam functionality. The FRAC Harness provides the front and rear camera video signals on RCA connectors. You can connect a mobile DVR video in line with the FRAC harness and power the DVR with the front cam power lead from the FRAC Harness. In this configuration, the DVR would record any time the ignition is on. If you want the front cam and DVR recording all the time, you can power them directly from the battery rather than the FRAC power lead. If you were to do something like this, I would put a switch in the DVR/Cam battery power line to be able to turn off dash cam mode if you were going to be parked somewhere that you didn't need to be recording and drawing on the battery.

Nothing firm yet. I do have additional inquiries in the works but the stupid China-virus has made a slow process even slower.

Does anyone know the FOV of the OEM backup camera? I'd like the same for the front so you can still see the bumper corners. Every camera I've seen so far mounted for the front you can only see in front of the truck not the corners.

@TundraTex or anyone else "in the know"; I have recently decided to upgrade my head unit to an Alpine ILX-F309 from the stock nav head unit.......Will the FRAC operate with the new head unit? Or will I have to find alternative ways to wire the front camera? Thanks in advance for any help

I’ll have to research that specific HU to give a final answer, but in general, as long as you are using plug and play adapters for an aftermarket unit, the FRAC will continue to function as designed.
