    Good day all,
I am attempting to upgrade my Non JBL factory speakers in my 19 Crewmax. I have the center dash speaker, FL dash side, FR dash side, Front and rear doors. I am installing Polk Audio's DB6502 component system in the front and rear doors, with the tweeters in the front going in the dash side locations and Kicker KSC350 3.5" in the center dash. Got all the goodies from Crutchfield, along with their "Master sheet" install guide. Unfortunately my wire colors do NOT match that sheet, or any other diagrams i can find online!!
PLEASE HELP!! lol I have installed MANY aftermarket systems in my day so I could simply wire it all up fresh, but would MUCH rather use the factory wiring whenever possible.
Here is what i have in my ride: (all wires are whiteish with colored trace)
FL dash harness: Black Pink Violet Solid White
FR dash harness: Pink Blue Light Green Dark Green
Center dash harness: Green White Black Pink
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!
    Randy

You might reach out to James Randy Taylor at
james@tech12volts and see if he has a pre-made harness for the dash speakers.
I know he provides one with his JL Audio tweeter setup, not sure if that will work with the JBL setup or not.

    Hey First,
Yes i was planning on just upgrading the speakers. My issue was, the wiring harnesses in my truck do not match the color codes listed in my Crutchfield MasterSheet. Or any other wiring diagram i can find online. Was hoping someone else ran into this and had it figured out. See original post for the colors i have in my ride.
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum.

Well for one thing, the signal for the dash speakers comes straight from the Entune HU.
The door speakers are run thru the crappy factory amp under the passenger seat.
And with that, the front doors only have mids and lows (no high end) because the Entune uses the dash speakers as tweeters.

This is from a 2015 diagram, not sure if the 2019 is the same color wires.
But it shows you how the dash is wired from the HU and that there are indeed 4 leads to the center DVC speaker.
Then you can see the signal goes to the underseat amp, then to the front doors.

    Dash%20speaker%20sch%201_zpsoxkdcj9z_e2e2c51002b94f0d71db1ad8ef4f80374870703e.jpg Dash%20speaker%20sch_zpslwntqrpo_08d7698d52dcdf35e746fdc12fff2e205a676d0e.jpg

So if you use the stock wiring, you'll connect the dash speaker left and right from the hu and then the wiring goes to the center.
Another issue you are going to have is the center dash speaker is a dual voice coil.
It plays both left and right signals and has left and right leads.
You are wanting to replace that with a single voice coil that will only have left or right and will throw your balance off.

What you can do, or what I did, was replace the door speakers although I replaced the factory amp with an Alpine PDX V9.
Replacing the amp gives me a full signal from the Entune HU, although I've since replaced the crappy Entune HU with a Kenwood.
BUT, instead of putting your tweeters in the dash, that you would HAVE to run your own speaker wiring from your door components, you can buy OEM Tundra JBL front door sails in install your tweeters in them.
I ended up disconnecting the dash speakers entirely..

Attached is the Meastro install guide. Scroll down until you see the Tundra. See if any of the colors match yours.

OP, here is how I can help you.

    1. Call Crutchfield. You paid for that support. They should be able to help you
    2. The signal comes from the amp to the door speaker. Tweeter sognal, comes directly from the HU. The center channel gets signal from the right and left tweeter. If you are installing the tweeters on the dash corner, you need to run a new wire from the crossover (i.e. under the seat). Remove the dash speaker. Buy a 4438 harness from Auto Harness House so you don't have to cut any wires under the seat. The FL should feed the crossover and connect the door speaker and the tweeter to the crossover. Repeat for the FR. for the rear doors mount the crossover on the door. Not inside.

    Hope this helps.
