While driving by the local stealership, I noticed an awesome looking Lunar Rock TRD PRO. Yeah, my Cavalry Blue is da bomb but this color is also! I thought long and hard (not really-it was just an instant). Why not have them both!

My wife was looking for another rig, as the Land Cruiser was gifted to our daughter. I thought, how cool would it be to have a two-Tundra Household. I have read that several members here have done such. I pitched it to my wife and she didn’t say no. Heck she even loved the color. Oh boy, this was getting exciting.

We went back twice and was about ready to commit when she saw another Lunar Rock that she liked most! I was bummed. We put the TRD PRO on hold and proceeded to look at the RAV4. It was a solid outfit and I thought (a little longer-this time) about this really makes more sense. I wasn’t going to tell her that though. I still wanted the PRO (for her, of course).

Turns out, she did not like it as much as I did. She wanted the black leather or softex interior and a TRD instead of the XLE. So we didn’t pull the trigger on anything that day... Boy the salesman had had enough of us...

Some time passes (2 days) and Toyotathon is happening now. We ask the salesman and he sounded too happy to tell us that “oh the TRD PRO just sold”. When in reality it was just getting “dealer add-ons”. We found this out later... So we said “okay, how about the new RAV4s that were supposed to come in?”. “Those are spoken for”, he says.

Enough of these blowhards! They didn’t want to “waste” anymore of their time on us because of our indecisiveness...

We call up to Peterson stealership in Boise and let our salesman there get to work for us. Within moments, he lets us know that he has a Lunar Rock RAV4 with all the goodies my wife wanted, (she also decided against the TRD Trim after she saw it) and then some, allocated to the dealership and was in-transit. These rigs here were already several thousands off MSRP vs several thousands added to MSRP at the other stealership.

We picked it up Monday evening and WOW, this thing is awesome! While it is not what I initially wanted (sulk-sulk) it is a fabulous addition to our Toyota fleet and is also the Lunar Rock we both wanted.

Our youngest boys... always helping out with the rigs, and like me, can’t wait to start modding this rig too!

I have even joined the RAV4 World Forum and what a head scratcher that has been to navigate through...

Anyway, thanks for reading and happy holidays Tundra Brothers, Sisters!
