I have the Lock'er Down and love it. It fits perfectly and its really secure. I paid ~$250 and the peace of mind it gives is well worth it. I'll post some pictures if you're interested.

Any way you choose to go its a smart and responsible choice to protect your CCW, if that whats it for of course.

I highly recommend the Lock'er Down.

I will be using it for my registration and my garage door opener while I am at work. My gun usually never leaves my body but if I have to go into the post office or eat dinner in the "bar" section of a restaurant it would give me piece of mind. I like the lock'er down but I like that the tuffy is smaller. Can you fit stuff on top of the lock'er down with the console shut?

Yes i keep a couple of day planner binders and some pens in there on top of my Locker Down...maybe an inch thick or so.
Looks like the Tuffy is just a "lid" that screws into the plastic console sides?

The Lockerdown is a steel case and the fit and finish is second to none.
I also have the Lockerdown under seat steel safe too.

The Lock'er Down's lid is spring loaded so you can leave it unlocked and it will swing up when you open the arm rest then just lock it when needed. It's a true safe and it's built like a tank. The lock mechanism is good because the lid fits between two parts of the frame and the lock pins all three together.

Thanks for the pictures! After reading a review stating the tuffy is just a lid I was a little weary. What's involved in installing the lockerdown? I want to minimize holes in my new truck.

It comes with two bolts. You unscrew the existing ones in the bottom of your console, drop in the safe and put the provided bolts back in the holes. It needs the new bolts because they are longer. There are no holes to drill. 10 minute install max including finding the tools in the garage.

And yes, you still have access to the power port in the console. The safe has a cut out for it.

I have the Tuffy Box. I love it and it is very secure. It is installed by removing the 4 bottom bolts and place the tuffy box insert inside of console. Very easy install

Directly from Lock'er Down. They had a sale at the first of the year.

Third the LockerDown. Absolutely perfect fit, super easy install, cool and convenient spring loaded lid, and beefsteak build quality. Worth every penny.

FWIW, I got the high security lock, and feel more secure having done so. All of the other lock versions are fairly easy to defeat (relatively speaking).

I have the Console Vault which seems to be real close to the other manufacturers. Installation would have been a breeze (5 minutes)except two issues:
    1. One of the bolts holes was not drilled correctly and was approx 1/4 inch off - Fixed by reaming it out with my drill
    2. The bolt they provided broke while i was installing it - Supposed to be high grade bolt (Fastenal) ,but you can tell it was Chinese cheap knock off. Went to lowe's and purchased better grade of bolts.

Now it comes with 2 holes drilled out ( towards shifter) and it seems strong enough but i decided while i was reaming out the other hole i might as well drill out two holes in the back of the console vault so that my console has 4 bolts holding it( Yeah over kill) .
Fits like a glove- could not be happier.
    Access to power plug.
    Overall I love it.
Bad part for me is when you hit a bump occasionally the lid will bang , but you get used to it soon.

$240.00 if you order from them directly.

If i can figure out how to post pix I will update this.

Can you post some pictures? I read that it was just a lid. From your description it sounds like it's installed from the bottom.

When you open the stock center console, there's a little sheet sitting on the floor of it. Remove that and you'll expose the bolts. Unthread bolts. Drop in new security console. Thread bolts. Done.

Yeah, looks like the one Patriot has is exactly like the console vault.
