I have been noticing my rear rotors and break pads have been warping and where just replaced less than 9 months ago by the dealer any thoughts. Not towing anything and just city driving.

Sounds like you have a stuck caliper. My 18 right rear was sticking after 2 winters. The pins were rusted over. Try to put new pins in it. I ended up just replacing it. Calipers are around $115 and it takes less than an hour to do.

Will look into might be the reason I had never seen only one side be so worn out.

Could this be covered under warranty?

I’m pretty sure pads and rotors are considered a wear item and not covered under warranty. You could try a stuck caliper, but they will probably say the same thing.

Agree with caliper issue...brakes typically are not covered under warranty...they are considered a consumable.

Would seem to me that if the dealer did the rear brakes 9 months ago and your having these problems already, maybe you should return and discuss this with them. I can't imagine that much wear that quickly unless there's bad parts, (sticking caliper or ?) but if so the problem most certainly should have brought to your attention by the tech. I see a possible argument for improperly completed job by the dealer.

Over-torqued lug nuts can warp a rotor as well.
