You’ll need techstream to do it. Either the dealer can do it (and charge you usually) or using a knock-off cable and illegitimate version of the software that you can get off Amazon, eBay, and any number of other places.

For a 2007, any firmware v1.4 cable and version of techstream currently out there with the knock off cables will work, but a lot of the older versions require a bunch of screwing Aaron’s to get them working on a computer running Windows 10 x64.

One advantage of having the cable is you can also disable the seat belt warnings while you’re in there.

Oh, and welcome from the wet side of WA.

Other things to make sure of:
Your original key has a letter or symbol stamped in the shank near the plastic - that is the transponder code. A dot (“o”) i think is the one for the early Gen2, and G and H is common in newer models. Either way, you HAVE to get the new key with the same transponder code (if you’re buying off eBay or elsewhere). That’s the chip that will work with the immobilizer.

For the remote lock/unlock, you’ve also got to make sure the replacement has the same FCC ID and stuff.

I did it in my 2008 when I got one of the switchblade-style keys off eBay. I was able to have a local locksmith cut the key and then did all the rest myself.

Thanks! I'm going to try and get Techstream. I've got the correct keys they all match and A1 lock's software wouldn't program them but I'm not sure what they used. They suggested a garage that might have some aftermarket software. Now we'll see if I can do it.

    Easy squeezy with techstream.
If you were close, I’d offer to do it for you.

I'm also interested in this. My key has an "o" stamped into it. And the remote FCC is: GQ43VT20T.

Do you have links to the key/fob/ techstream cable? I'd love to disable the seat belt alarm as well lol.

Also my only key is technically the valet key so it wont lock/unlock the tailgate and glove box. That must just have to do with the way its cut though I guess?

I would be happy if it just started the truck though. :)

Lowes may be able to do it for free. My autel scanner wouldn't do it though it's supposed to (I think I screwed up on menu selection for g or dot). Our 3 year old snap on scanner had no trouble at work. Any shop with a reasonably new scanner should be able to do this for you.....
