Hey all. I'm getting ready to let my RCSB 2008 5.7 4x4 Beast of a truck go. I'll post pics once I get it all cleaned up and looking sweet. I thought I would post here first - knowing that this is certainly the audience that could help answer this question - Where should I post my listing? I'm thinking the local craigslist is NOT going to attract the buyers that I'm looking for. Sure - I might get lucky and find someone that understands the value, but I'm skeptical. So again - what platform would you use to sell YOUR RCSB??

A bit more info: 124k. This is the SPORT version. SR5 package - color matching bumpers. It has been lowered (previous/original owner) but that is about it regarding modifications. Weather tech bed liner and bed cover.

You’ll get a hundred different opinions on this, but here’s mine FWIW.

Post that it’s for sale on this forum, the other Tundra forum, and actually list it on Car Gurus. Pay a little for extra photos and an upgraded listing. As far as I’m concerned, Car Gurus is the only site where serious buyers shop online. I’ve bought and sold, always with good outcomes. Craigslist is great for casual browsing, but I’ll never sell (a car) there again.

Is that the one from Florida? I’d been eyeing it. Seems like whenever someone buys one, I know exactly where it came from lol

Wow so i sold my truck yesterday and this morning i already have seller's remorse, i looked out my driveway and she wasn't there. I am a little sad, i think i'm going to look for another one, one of the reason i sold my truck was i really wanted a white truck to match my cruiser. Also would like to find a rust free one.

If anyone ever come across an RCSB 5.7L 4X4 in white, or even silver please let me know, if you don't buy it. Has to be 4x4 though and 5.7

My world would have to be turned completely upside down for me to consider selling either of my regular cab Tundra trucks... I'm having sellers remorse just thinking about it.

Good luck finding a replacement... this Facebook group may help you out.

Ya, occasionally I long for the S/C'd LT'd RCSB 97 Tacoma I sold six years ago. The new owner put it on it's lid and crushed the cab within the first two years entering it into a local obstacle competition at a county fair. I'm sure it's slowly decaying behind some barn...:(

The guy that bought my truck say he's going to use it to haul stones for his business, he's a mason, i think my RCSB is going to live its remaining life like these guys back in the days :(

I know it sounds crazy but as a car guy all my life, you grow attached to your vehicles, esp ones that you took so much time to fix up and build up, almost like the machine has a soul. I feel that way every time i sell a car, and hope that the next owner will take care of it.

Hmmm, I kind of hate to say it out loud, but I don't think that he bought the right vehicle for the job. The potential to overtax that truck by hauling stone is much too great.
I know what you're saying. To some degree it's a physical manifestation of your skill, patience, creativity and attention to detail. For others it's in carpentry, metal fabrication, masonry, or macrame.

I rescued my RCSB from that kind of work, the only thing is hauls now is me.

I had the same attachment to vehicles I've owned, but I have owned more than 60 different vehicles so I've learned to get over it.

Practice makes perfect. I think this is the sixth vehicle that I've ever had if I don't include motorbikes, and only five of those...

Rex Kramer was wondering if you ever got your exhaust to exit out passenger side in front of tire , I searched and saw you asked if it was possible

When I got my RCSB, it had its exhaust exit out the passenger side in front of the tire.

I followed advise given by Keith... I used a factory tail pipe that I cut right after the final tail pipe hanger. The NASCAR style side exit looks great, but is loses low end torque and it's hard to put a resonator on.

    IMG_7656.jpg

    Short resonator pictured.

The sound is intoxicating, and Keith sent me a longer resonator to compensate for the tail pipe being 24" shorter - no drone.IMG_7817.jpg

I had replied to you on facebook about your trucks head unit the day after you sold it, great looking truck by the way. I cam across this one in PA as well when I was looking to purchase. I passed only because it is a BASE model, roll up windows and no power door locks.
