It's been years since I owned my last Toyota truck. I had two before they had names other than "truck". I always liked them but life just called for something different for years. My first truck was so nice that it convinced my Dad to get his. He still has his 93' regular cab truck with the 22RE engine. He only has 120k on it and it still drives like new. So when I finally had the funds to get another truck it was the Tundra.

I found a 2011, very clean DC with the 5.7 and the tow package. We hope to get a camper next year sometime and that was our plan BEFORE everybody decided to buy them because of a pandemic. My plans are to mod it for some light off-roading, surf fishing, a camper shell for quick and easy overnights and general comfort. I'll probably add a remote start, maybe upgrade the stereo, set it up with a good inverter install so the wife can use her laptop while we travel and a few other things. I'm in NC so I have surf and mountains fairly close and at my disposal. I've been without a vehicle for my daily use for the last three years (have a work vehicle but for work only) paying off debt and getting my daughter's first two years of college paid for. Finally.....I'm whole again. I know about Toyota quality and this will be with me for a while so I'll make it just the way I want it. I'm looking forward to learning more about my truck and all the things I can do to it to get it set up.

Sucks to be in the camper market right now with all the new covid outdoorsmen. I spent the last 10 years sleeping in the back of a Tacoma then I finally get a Tundra to make a real pop-up camper set up and lead times are 12-14 months for every brand unless you buy used:frusty:

Yep. I'm not in a huge rush right now as I can borrow from friends but there's just something about having one that's yours that feels like home when you use it. I'm hoping some will be flooding the market once people begin getting vaccinated and feel like venturing out again after dumping theirs. We'll see.

Welcome. I'm almost positive you'll see a flood of used campers soon, as people realize there is a lot of work and upkeep involved with them. They may need some attention though from neglect.

    Enjoy your new truck!

You wanted pics. Well, I have "pic". This is the one I took the day I bought it. It still looks the same but I'll be working on it as I go. For now though, this one is all I have.
